04-06-2010: only a few days after I released it, Carlos already sends me a picture of Sora!

08-04-2009: Carlos strikes again! This time not with a Zelda model, but with his favourite character from his favourite RPG, Cloud Strife! You can see the picture here: picture 2

18-09-2007: the first picture that Carlos “Charly” Gomez (“MasteR”) from Mexicali (Baja California) in Mexico sent me, shows you what a big Legend of Zelda fan he is!

He built not one, not two, but all of my Zelda models, which include some of the most challenging ones I have to offer.

It took him something like three months, but from what I can see, it was definately worth the effort!

Zelda models by randomzeldafan

26-05-2010: Randomzeldafan from Scotland, UK, sent me this picture of Super Smash Bros: Melee Link, one of the most challenging models on my papercraft webpage!

But some of you might not even be that surprised to see what a great job she did with some of those really tiny parts, because you might know randomzeldafan from when she made the made the smallest Hero of Twilight I’ve ever seen: link ;o)

As you can see in this picture though, she also went on to build the regular sized version. ;o)

And she didn’t stop there: she also built Zora armor Link, Link riding Epona, and those are just my models!

U.S.S. Voyager by Andrew

13-05-2010: After having some problems with another model, Andrew decided to take a break from that one and try my U.S.S. Voyager first.

The U.S.S. Voyager has quite a few difficult shapes but he did a great job, as you can also see in the other two pictures that Andrew sent me: picture 2 | picture 3

“Re-vamped” Alice by Superunitedkingdom

05-05-2010: Well, this certainly is a special addition to the hall of fame…! ;o)

As you can see, Superunitedkingdom has made some additions of his own (or should I say, deductions? ;o) to my American McGee’s Alice model.

Besides giving Alice a low-cut dress and fishnet stockings (I didn’t ask him where he got the pictures for the new textures from, sorry… ;o) Superunitedkingdom also included the display stand you see in the pictures, and made her a bit bigger (15 inches), so have fun building!

Lara Croft & young Link by Gabriel Guerrero

05-05-2010: Before he made Lara in her wetsuit from Tomb Raider Underworld, he already built Lara Croft in her Tomb Raider Legend outfit.

09-04-2010: Gabriel Guerrero lives in México Distrito Federal (Mexico City), one of the biggest cities in the world!

But he proves even people in *huge* cities like México D.F. can find the time to enjoy building a paper model!

Here’s a picture of Gabriel’s Lara, in her Tomb Raider Legend outfit, and here’s one of young Link.

You can see that he’s very creative too: the sword in Link’s hand is his own adjustment to my model that he downloaded!

Auron by Fungus

20-04-2010: After seeing some great pictures of paper models on an image site, 14 year old “Fungus” from England got inspired to build one of her own!

Eventually, she found herself on my website here, and liking the way my Final Fantasy X Auron looked, decided to try it out.

In just 5 hours (!) using nothing more than regular printer paper, a pair of scissors and a glue stick, I think she did an amazing job building her very first papercraft model in record time! ;o)

18-04-2010: Teris tells me he only started papercrafting a few days ago, which is amazing when you look at the young Link that he made as his first paper model!

Here you can see another picture of Teris’ young Link with his shield and sword.

I guess if you really like the Legend of Zelda games, it doesn’t matter if you have a lot of papercrafting experience or not, you can do a great job building a paper Link anyway!

Advance Wars battle by Alex

17-04-2010: I just hope Alex knows what he’s doing, because those muzzle flares look mighty dangerous, especially for mere papercraft units… ;o)

Sending a spotter to the top of the castle to keep an eye out for the enemy proved to be a wise precaution, because earlier today, he sighted the enemy closing in on their position…

So instead of being caught off guard, they were able to repel the initial attack as you can see in the picture above, even when the Black Hole Stealth came back for a second run…!

20-03-2010: Last time, we saw that Alex had taken command of the Orange Star army (let’s face it, Andy really needs all the help he can get… ;o)

Backed up by this Artillery unit, he sent a spearhead of Md Tanks into enemy territory to force a breakthrough.

Now he informs me, that after being discovered by a Black Hole Stealth, his troops came across a stronghold, and took up defensive positions there.

Orange Star units by hexagono MotD

13-04-2010: It took hexagono about 7-8 hours to build the Artillery unit and spotter to go with his Orange Star MD Tank.

Now you can really see the rotating heads of the soldiers in action! I guess the only question is, why exactly *are* they looking at the artillery gunner…? ;o)

06-03-2010: hexagono built my Orange Star MD Tank about 5 hours, so it could guard his laptop; nobody will even think about stealing it now! ;o)

The heads of the soldiers can turn, because he glued a small pin of rolled up paper inside the head, instead of glueing it straight to the body:

Zelda models by Jen

11-04-2010: Jen had built several of my paper models before (Link & Epona, young princess Zelda and young Link as seen in the back row) but the front row shows her latest additions!

Instead of choosing which version with which head to build, after a whole week of witch making, Jen has built not one, not two, not even three, but four Koume/Kotake models!

I hope the “normal” ones are from Majora’s Mask, so they even out the evil from their Ocarina of Time Twinrova boss form…

“Going Merry” by Xu for Sun Joanna

25-03-2010: It took Xu three days during her spring break to build this “Going Merry” for her friend Sun Joanna (Wise). I wish I had friends like that! ;o)

She included an Usopp figurine from Megahouse in the picture to give you an indication of how small the ship really is; the figurine is only about one inch tall!

Needless to say I think, that Joanna enjoyed the gift very much! ;o)

Epona by Hunter Turner

18-03-2010: Hunter built another one of my Zelda models! Of course you already recognized Link’s trusty horse Epona (who apparantly really wants to play the Nintendo Wii… ;o)

27-01-2010: Hunter Turner proves once again that age doesn’t matter in papercraft, only patience and determination to finish what you started! ;o)

He’s only ten years old and already made my Kingdom Hearts version of Cloud Strife, in just three and a half days!

Hunter also built a very fierce looking Oni Link! He says it’s the flash from the camera that makes it look so intimidating, but maybe it’s just the mysterious powers in the mask…

Excellent work!

One Piece’s “Going Merry” by Jeroen

16-03-2010: While Usopp wonders why the “Going Merry” is suddenly so small, we all know that’s because it’s a papercraft version built by Jeroen from the Netherlands!

He sends me a whole bunch of nice pictures from his build, and tells me he made it twice as big as my original version. And as you can also see, he made the rigging out of real ropes and added an extra line to the bow of the ship.

He did a really great job building it, and the extra effort he put into it makes his build look really great!

Advance Wars, Zelda, Kurt Zisa & Sharpedo models by Llamadragon

15-03-2010: Llamadragon told me he would probably build some more paper models of mine, and he sure did: 12 models in total now, as you can see in the picture above!

New are Sharpedo, the Green Earth Cruiser and Black Hole Tank and MD Tank from my Advance Wars series, Twilight Link (group picture) and the one I think he is the most proud of, Kingdom Hearts’ Kurt Zisa!

But I think he has every right to be proud of it: he tells me it took him about 28-32 hours in total, but he enjoyed building it, and I think that shows in his finished paper model because it looks really great!

07-01-2010: Llamadragon told me he had built several of my Zelda and Advance Wars paper models, and to prove it, he sent me a picture! ;o)

Zora armor Link by Andres Darquea

16-03-2010: Andres decided to build Super Smash Bros. Melee Link’s display stand to ehm… display ZaL on it. ;o) And I have to say, I think it actually looks pretty good! picture 1 | picture 2

14-03-2010: Andres Darquea from Ecuador is a medical student, and he tells me he enjoys papercraft because it is relaxing, but also because it trains his motor skills (which are very important if he wants to become a surgeon some day! ;o)

But I think his motor skills are okay, because his ZaL looks very good! Andres used a laser printer to print the parts, making the colours extra shiny.

Oogie Boogie by Felipe Rossi

07-03-2010: 14 year old Felipe Rossi from Brazil had only built Cubees and Hamheadz until now, and Oogie Boogie is the first more complex paper model he (successfully) made.

He says it’s far from perfect but I’m sure he’s just being modest, because it looks pretty good to me! ;o)

Zelda models by Rutger

04-03-2010: In the picture above, you can see the papercraft Zelda models built by 15 year old Rutger from the Netherlands so far.

After building Zora armor Link, Rutger now also built Twilight Link and because he didn’t glue their swords to their hands, he can swap them if he wants to!

Now Rutger has not one but two guards to watch over the other papercraft models he built: picture 1 | picture 2 ! ;o)

23-02-2010: This papercraft Zora armor Link was built by 15 year old Rutger from the Netherlands!

You might be thinking Link is pretty defenseless like this, but Rutger saw to that too, building not one, but two sets of weapons: picture

And if he’s ever in a really tight spot, Link can always let loose the hounds of war on his enemies! (well, the paper Clocktown Schnauzer that Rutger also built anyway… ;o)

Link & Epona by London Reinhard

31-01-2010: London Reinhard built this Link and Epona, and I think it looks mighty fine! But don’t take my word for it, here’s a picture of the other side, so you can judge by yourself. ;o)

Although not the first, it was London’s most time consuming papercraft model to date, taking at least 12 hours to build. But if you ask me, it was time well spent!

29-01-2010: Look at what I received in my mail today! It’s a very clean build of Zora armor Link, done by Hayley.

She and her boyfriend Jon love papercraft (and eachother ;o) so much that they decided to make a Deviantart account about their joined hobby, fittingly called “the papercraft couple“. ;o)

28-01-2010: You guys never fail to amaze me! I consider SSB:M Link one of the most challenging models on my website, but Werety built this one when he was only eleven!

And he did a very good job too! There are a lot of very small parts, so it must have taken Werety a lot of work and patience to get an end result as great as this!
