Mario, Link, Lara and Alice by Fasme

25-04-2014: Fasme shared some of the pictures of the papercraft models that he built on Twitter already, not just my Paper Mario you see above, but also adult Link, young Lara and even American McGee’s Alice that he made for his girlfriend on Valentine’s Day! ;o)

You can see those pictures here too: picture | picture | picture

But even those are only a few of the many papercraft models that Fasme built!

On his own webpage you can see lots more, not just from my papercraft models, but also from many other papercrafters and even some original ones of his own: Fasme Creations.

Be sure to check it out! ;o)

Thank you for building these Ninjatoes’ (and other people’s! ;o) papercraft models!

Legend Lara, American McGee’s Alice and Underworld wetsuit Lara by BRSpidey

04-02-2014: He needed a little help from Mayushii Shina (from Steins;Gate) but Brspidey built my papercraft Lara Croft from Tomb Raider Legend: picture 1 | picture 2 ;o)

And now he made her star in his little “choose your own storyline”-story called “Lara Croft: In search of the secrets of papercraft” !

Lara realizes she is only made from paper, and goes on a quest to find her origins, when she suddenly encounters the papercraft T-Rex from Paper’s Juke…!

But what happens next? Does Lara stand and face the monster? Or does she run and live to fight another day? Or will the encounter have a surprise ending? You can choose on BRSpidey’s DeviantArt page: link ;o)

27-10-2013: It’s another American McGee’s Alice again, this time built by BRSpidey, your friendly neighbourhood papercrafter from Mexico: picture ! ;o)

Alice was only BRSpidey’s second papercraft model, and although he found the fingers quite a challenge, it inspired him to continue papercrafting and now he has built lots more models already, many of which he painted for extra realism! ;o)

Underworld wetsuit Lara is a good example of that: because BRSpidey wasn’t happy with the quality of his printer, he painted the whole model with acryllic, matte, metallic and fluorescent paint, and he also added some relief to the arms and harness!

The results look very smooth, as you can se for yourself in these two pictures:
picture 1 | picture 2

And if you want to see lots more great examples of BRSpidey’s papercraft builds, be sure to check out his DeviantArt gallery: link !

Thank you for building these Ninjatoes’ papercraft models!

American McGee’s Alice by Birdy

20-01-2014: American McGee’s version of “Alice” was much darker than the famous Disney version, and I think you’ll agree Birdy’s picture does a good job portraying that! ;o)

Birdy really likes experimenting with picture taking, and in fact he tried several different things taking pictures of paper Alice, here’s an example of one of the setups: picture

And if you want to know more about Birdy’s photographic experiments, you can have a look at his Photo Log: link ;o)

Just like I decided to make my papercraft Alice after playing the first game, Birdy decided to build it after playing the sequel “Alice: Madness Returns” so many years later!

Okay, maybe at first it may seem a little bit strange to make a paper model of a “psycho girl” that kills all kinds of scary monsters in a twisted Wonderland, but you can see that I’m not the only one! ;o)

Thank you for building a Ninjatoes’ papercraft model!

Young princess Zelda +lots more by minidelirium

11-09-2011: The neat little papercraft princess Zelda you see above was put together by minidelirium from Sweden!

Although she doesn’t make papercraft templates herself, she loves working with her hands and as you can see, she’s very good at assembly! ;o)

In fact, minidelirium actually built a lot more papercraft models, than just paper Zelda, many more from the Legend of Zelda series, but also from other video games and series, ranging from small and simple ones to very big and complex papercraft models!

You can see (part of) the rest of her papercraft collection in this picture (some models she already gave away to friends ;o)

If you look very closely, you can even see American McGee’s Alice too among all the other models! (without the arms though, minidelirium hasn’t made those yet ;o)

But if you really want to get an idea of the full scope of minidelirium’s papercraft collection, all you have to do is take a look at her DeviantArt gallery: link

minidelirium loves that papercraft is such a fun and easy hobby that everybody could do really, so she hopes that her pictures will inspire you to try it out too sometime! ;o)

Thank you for building these Ninjatoes’ (and other people’s!) papercraft models!

Fierce Deity Link by Cesar Rodriguez

10-06-2009: As you can see by the timestamp on Cesar’s picture, he built my papercraft Fierce Deity Link quite a while ago already, but he still looks very good!

Fierce Deity Link (sometimes called “Oni Link”) is the ultimate form of Link in the video game “Majora’s Mask”, and it is very difficult to collect all the masks you need to trade to become “Oni Link”…!

Luckily, building this papercraft version of him like Cesar did should take a lot less time! ;o)

Thank you for building a Ninjatoes’ papercraft model!

Paper Mario 3D by Beav3rboy

2013-08-10: Here’s an excellent build of my Paper(craft) Mario 3D again, by Beav3rboy! ;o)

“Paper Mario 3D” is actually only Beav3rboy’s latest addition to his papercraft collection though, he has a whole cabinet filled with papercraft models he built!

And it’s a really broad collection too, ranging from a Star Wars scout trooper on a speederbike to Santa and his sleigh and even a Skyrim Frost Dragon, and lots more cartoon and video game characters!

Don’t believe me? Then check out his DeviantArt gallery and see for yourself: link

I just hope he can still find a spot for his new Paper Mario…! ;o)

Thank you for building a Ninjatoes’ papercraft model!

American McGee’s Alice and more by Bruno

2013-07-16: Everybody knows the story of the cute, young Alice that falls down a rabbit hole and ends up in a wondrous and magical place called “Wonderland”!

But Bruno likes American McGee’s version of the story of “Alice” better, where she is a bit older and Wonderland is much darker and more… evil…

So that’s why he decided to build my papercraft version of American McGee’s Alice as you can see! ;o)

He was a little bit dreading having to do the hands and the fingers because they looked so difficult, but then he was able to focus himself on the job and he managed to finish them!

If you’re impressed by Bruno’s build of American McGee’s Alice, have a look at his DeviantArt gallery, where you can see many other papercraft models he built already, including my own Kingdom Hearts Sora and the Koume and Kotake witches and Midna from the Zelda series: link

Thank you for building these Ninjatoes’ papercraft models!

American McGee’s Alice by Jean-Pierre

17-05-2011: Jean-Pierre made this nice little Alice in Wonderland diorama with my American McGee’s Alice model and the Queen of Hearts from the Constructing Wonderland website.

Here’s another picture of Alice by herself: picture

I included the Vorpal Blade in my model as Alice’s weapon of choice, but the croquet Mallet that Jean-Pierre made for her is another one of the deadly weapons she can use, many of which can be found here.

The boney American McGee’s Cheshire Cat is still on my to do-list to paperfy, but Jean-Pierre made a simple standie that looks pretty good with Alice too: picture ;o)

Thank you for building a Ninjatoes’ papercraft model!

American McGee’s Alice by Alda

21-04-2011: Alda came across pictures of my papercraft model of American McGee’s Alice some weeks ago, and he decided he wanted to build one himself too.

Which he now did, obviously. ;o)

It only the second paper model he built so far, and he did a very good job I think! Here’s a picture of the back: picture 2

There’s something different about Alda’s build, though, that might not be very obvious from these first pictures…

Maybe these two pictures of Alice together with some (fittingly stylish black ;o) playing cards will help you figure out what it is: picture 3 | picture 4

You still have no idea…?

Well, I’ll just tell you then: instead of printing the parts on regular A4 sized paper, Alda printed her on A3 sized sheets, making the final model over 40 cm big! ;o)

This way, all the parts got a little bit bigger, so it was a little bit easier for Alda to build Alice, but he still found it very challenging to make, especially the fingers and the boots!

But luckily, he didn’t give up, and now he has his very own paper Alice! ;o)

And what’s more, after building Alice, he feels confident now that he can build any paper model he wants, and I think so too! ;o)

Here are some final close-ups of Alda’s upsized Alice: picture 5 | picture 6

Thank you for building a Ninjatoes’ papercraft model!

American McGee’s Alice by JustTerry

08-01-2011: After Midna and ZaL, JustTerry built American McGee’s Alice as his next model!

He did a fine job I think, and he even made a nice display stand for her!

He had some trouble glueing on her feet, which made Alice to lean too far backwards, causing her to fall over…

But JustTerry solved that very simple by glueing several small pieces of cardstock underneath Alice’s already high heels to correct the balance: picture

After colouring them black like Alice’s boots, you can hardly see them!

03-01-2011: JustTerry has been papercrafting for a few weeks now, and he’s really enjoying it! ;o)

The Zora armor Link and Midna you see in this picture, were printed on regular paper with a black and white laser printer, but he also built a second Midna printed in colour on thicker, cardstock paper: picture

On that build, he also used the edge-colouring technique to get rid of the white edges from the paper, and he even coloured the backside of the parts that would normally be left white as well, like the helmet, hands and the hair!

JustTerry’s builds look pretty good I think, and all that with just regular old School Glue: picture ;o)

Thank you for building these Ninjatoes’ papercraft models!

Kingdom Hearts 2 Sora by Kupo

01-07-2010: building this Sora was a lot more time consuming for Kupo than building chibi Sora (second picture from the bottom in this post) but judging from the pictures, it was worth it! ;o)

22-05-2010: Kupo has been really busy papercrafting all kinds of models since last time, besides building American McGee’s Alice, he also expanded his Blue Moon army with a Stealth Fighter and APC: picture

And that’s only a fraction of the new models that he built! You can see many more of them of them on his own weblog here, including some close-ups of Alice, and some papercraft projects of his own; be sure to check it out! ;o)

08-02-2010: When you’re done gazing at the two robots and Kupo’s hand-made Pokéball in this picture, what do you think of his Neotank build? I think it looks pretty good!

He even made a video showing how the legs move with the mechanism inside: link

Kupo also built several of my Zelda models (picture 1 | picture 2) and as you can see, he likes building all kind of models from other people as well, so check out his weblog (and works-in-progress-blog) to see all his other builds!

Thank you for building these Ninjatoes’ papercraft models!

“Re-vamped” Alice by Superunitedkingdom

05-05-2010: Well, this certainly is a special addition to the hall of fame…! ;o)

As you can see, Superunitedkingdom has made some additions of his own (or should I say, deductions? ;o) to my American McGee’s Alice model.

Here are two more pictures: picture 1 | picture 2

If you like the new Alice, you can download the parts to make the paper yourself from the download link provided by Superunitedkingdom:

download re-vamped Alice

Besides giving Alice a low-cut dress and fishnet stockings (I didn’t ask him where he got the pictures for the new textures from, sorry… ;o) Superunitedkingdom also included the display stand you see in the pictures, and made her a bit bigger (15 inches), so have fun building!

Thank you for building this (re-vamped) Ninjatoes’ papercraft model!

3,5m American McGee’s Alice by Victor

19-08-2009: it looks like Alice donned her classic look for the festival! If you want to see more pictures of Carrer de Bruniquer transformed into Alice’s Wonderland, check out Victor’s slide show of the festival here (Google has dismissed the Picasa webalbums unfortunately)

03-08-2009: If you happen to be in Barcelona during the Festa Major de Gràcia this year (15-21 August 2009) then be sure to visit Carrer de Bruniquer: in this street, you will be able to encounter a 3,5 meter tall incarnation of my American McGee’s Alice model!

Victor and several people from Barcelona’s Gràcia district are making it as part of the decorations for the festival for their street, which will have an Alice in Wonderland theme.

They’re making it out of cardboard, because even thicker paper won’t be strong enough for a model this big! To enlarge the parts from the original model, they projected the parts onto a wall and traced them with a marker.

You can imagine it’s a big project, so not something Victor can do on his own; but when it comes to preparing for a party, you’ll find there will always be people willing to lend a helping hand: picture 1 | picture 2 ;o)

Thank you for building a Ninjatoes’ papercraft model and have fun partying! ;o)

American McGee’s Alice by Austin Taylor

31-03-2009: Austin Taylor had a look at my little “hall of fame” here and was surprised that nobody had sent in a picture of their American McGee’s Alice yet!

So he decided he would be the first. ;o) While he only started papercrafting a few months ago, I think he did a terrific job!

There are two more pictures at Austin’s own weblog here, so be sure to check it out!

Thank you for building a Ninjatoes’ papercraft model!
