Battlestar Galactica Viper Mark II + Super Smash Bros. Melee Link by WickedPaper

09-10-2013: Despite my Super Smash Bros. Melee Link being the most challenging papercraft model I made so far I think, there are many people that did a very good job building him! ;o)

It really has *lots* of very small parts and pieces, but as you can see, WickedPaper did a great job too: he even made his own custom, more square display base for Melee Link to stand on, and I think it fits really well! ;o)

02-10-2013: WickedPaper showed me this great picture of my papercraft Battlestar Galactica Viper Mark II that he built on his Facebook profile: picture 1 !

He tells me he had fun building it, and you can really see that I think, because the end result looks very good! ;o)

Zelda models by Jose Vazquez

15-02-2013: Jose built my papercraft Twilight Link before, but as you can see, this time he made some changes so he could put his arm in a different position!

This way, Link can be in a more relaxed stance (maybe a bit too relaxed even…? ;o)

Jose also opened up the top of the sheath on Link’s back, so the Master Sword can be put inside: picture

Why he needed to do that? Well, it’s so that Link can also use other weapons like this Ball and Chain from the Paper Zelda website: picture

It’s a good thing it’s only made from paper, because otherwise getting hit by that thing would cause some serious headaches…! ;o)

18-11-2012: Here’s another Ocarina of Time adult/Menu Link), this time built by Jose Vazquez: picture

As you can see, Jose even made it so that he can put the Hylian Shield on Link’s back and the Master Sword into the scabbard.

Adult/Menu Link is not the first paper model that Jose built: some other papercraft models of mine that he built include Epona and Link, Twilight Link, Zora armor Link (which he modified a bit just like Toni Müller did) and even Super Smash Bros. Melee Link!

Jose also built lots of paper models from other people too, like another Ocarina of Time Link (from Icthus7), a Hylian Knight (from Nintendo Papercraft) and a recoloured Twilight Princess > Skyward Sword Link (from Paper Zelda): group picture

Zelda models by AseraRose

11-05-2012: AseraRose hadn’t been able to do much papercrafting because of school and work, but now she finally finished a new one: Super Smash Bros. Melee Link!

I think it’s the most challenging model I made so far because it has so many tiny parts, but AseraRose found it “relatively easy” and only the fingers were “a bit finicky”! ;o)

I guess building all those other Zelda models gave her lots of experience to build this one: Aserarose says building the hands on her other Link made it a lot easier to make Melee Link’s hands too!

In fact, the most difficult parts she found were the guard and pommel on the Master Sword, but all in all, she enjoyed building Super smash Bros Melee Link and the base for him to stand on, and I think she can be really proud of the result!

13-07-2010: AseraRose sent me a couple of pictures of the papercraft Zelda models that she built.

She found the head and hair of wolf Link pretty difficult to make because the parts kept coming apart, but she solved that by taping the glueing tabs inside the body.

And to prevent Midna’s head falling off, she stuck a toothpick down her neck (it’s a good thing paper models feel no pain I guess… ;o)

But AseraRose built more models! From Twilight Princess, she also made Zora armor Link, and from Majora’s Mask, she built Fierce Deity Link.

And last but not least, she also made Link’s nemesis, Ganondorf, from Ocarina of Time. Here’s a picture of these three models together.

AseraRose is already thinking about building another model, so maybe we’ll see more of her builds in the future!

Super Smash Bros. Melee Link by MundoPapercraft1

22-02-2011: My Super Smash Bros. Melee Link is one of the most challenging models I made so far, with a lot of tiny parts.

It took MundoPapercraft1 two weeks to finish it, but I think he did a very good job! You can see a video with more close-ups on his YouTube channel.

MundoPapercraft1 also built my young princess Zelda and Majora’s Mask models, and also models he made from other people, all of which you can see in his DeviantArt gallery!

Young & Melee Link by Choaslegion

18-02-2011: Choaslegion has to work long hours running his own business, so he can really only do papercraft during work hours.

But even though he has to stop regularly to help customers, Super Smash Bros. Melee Link is the 38th model he built already!

Chaoslegion built the doublesized version, scaled up by Haywan Chiu from the PaperCraft Museum (link).

Melee Link by burps20

29-01-2011: It took burps20 from Brazil 3 full days of nonstop papercrafting to build this Super Smash Bros. Melee Link!

He’s very modest, and told me he wished he “had the ability to make more paper models”…

But I think if you can build Melee Link (which is perhaps the most challenging model I made so far!) you have more than enough ability to build pretty much any paper model you want! ;o)

He even changed the stance a bit so Link’s holding his Master Sword different from my own build: picture

18-09-2007: the first picture that Carlos “Charly” Gomez (“MasteR”) from Mexicali (Baja California) in Mexico sent me, shows you what a big Legend of Zelda fan he is!

He built not one, not two, but all of my Zelda models, which include some of the most challenging ones I have to offer.

It took him something like three months, but from what I can see, it was definately worth the effort!

26-05-2010: Randomzeldafan from Scotland, UK, sent me this picture of Super Smash Bros: Melee Link, one of the most challenging models on my papercraft webpage!

But some of you might not even be that surprised to see what a great job she did with some of those really tiny parts, because you might know randomzeldafan from when she made the made the smallest Hero of Twilight I’ve ever seen: link ;o)

As you can see in this picture though, she also went on to build the regular sized version. ;o)

And she didn’t stop there: she also built Zora armor Link, Link riding Epona, and those are just my models!

Super Smash Bros. Melee Link by Werety

28-01-2010: You guys never fail to amaze me! I consider SSB:M Link one of the most challenging models on my website, but Werety built this one when he was only eleven!

And he did a very good job too! There are a lot of very small parts, so it must have taken Werety a lot of work and patience to get an end result as great as this!

SSB:M Link by Abscissa

10-05-2009: I came across her Majora’s Mask, princess Zelda, and young Link on DeviantArt, but Abscissa now sent me a picture of the SSB:M Link she built as well!

SSB:M Link is definately one of my more difficult models, but I think she did a great job! She used regular paper, a pair of scissors, toothpicks and regular glue for her earlier models, but decided to try out cardstock and an X-Acto knife for this one.

Besides papercraft, Abscissa also loves origami and drawing. In her own words: “if I have paper, I’ll never be bored!” ;o)

06-04-2009: With lots of small parts, my Super Smash Bros. Melee Link is definately one of the more difficult paper models on my website.

Super Smash Bros. Melee Link by Crownflame

24-11-2008: On her DeviantArt page, she tells it took her “SOOOOO long too make!”

But then again, it *is* the greatest thing ever… ;o)

Crownflame made my other Zelda models first, so she already had some experience building this. You can tell, too, because it is a terrific build, which even made the school newspaper!

16-01-2009: of course alikakadri just *had* to build my Schnauzer as well, but somewhere she made a mistake and somehow it ended it up in a sitting position, looking up at the ceiling: picture

19-09-2008: by now, alikakadri has built almost all my Zelda models! ;o) Here’s Midna on a Rubik’s Cube, Midna Riding wolf Link (nice job painting wolf Link’s “beard”! ;o), Fierce Deity Link (repainted from another papercraft model) and here’s a group shot.

07-09-2008: alikakadri’s latest build is of Epona & Link, and she did a great job painting them again I think! ;o)

28-08-2008: Super Smash Bros. Melee Link is probably the most difficult model I made, and for alikakadri, it was even more difficult!

She could only access the internet at the public library and print a few pages in black and white, so printing the 100+ pictures of my instructions wasn’t really an option, so she decided she would try it without them!

I already added a lot of guides on the template, and it was a big help for her, but I can imagine it must still have been very difficult! But she did a great job building it, and she even painted it by hand to give the black and white prints these nice colours!

A really great job! ;o)

Super Smash Bros. Melee Link & Auron by Matthew Stevens

06-06-2008: My Super Smash Bros. Melee Link model is a very challenging model with a lot of small parts, but Matthew Stevens from Northwest Washington did an awesome job building it: just look at the detail in the face!

It took him 3 months, because he only worked on it off and on. Auron took him about a month to build, but judging by the results, I think it was absolutely worth it, don’t you? ;o)

Zelda models & NES Zapper by Charles French

19-06-2007: Charles French from Arkansas, USA, assures me he did eat and sleep every once in a while building my models, but his build times really are amazingly fast!

He built the Zapper in 2 weeks, but adult Link in just 5 days, and young Link and the King of Red Lions in this picture in just 4 and 8 days, Majora’s Mask in only 30-45 minutes and Princess Zelda in 2 days.
