Oogie Boogie by Roy

10-02-2016: Roy from Massachussets built a lot of  plastic Revell model kits in the past, but nowadays, it’s all paper for him! ;o)

The first papercraft model he built was my Buffy the Vampire Slayer, but that one proved a bit difficult for a first time…

He gained a lot of experience since then though, and now his papercraft builds look really good!

(if you don’t believe me, the picture of his Oogie Boogie proves it! ;o)

Thank you for building a Ninjatoes’ papercraft model!

Kingdom Hearts II Sora by Jan

27-12-2014: Would you believe that this papercraft Sora from the Kingdom Hearts II video game was only the first papercraft model that Jan built…?!

I had to read twice, because he did such a great job! Jan sent two more pictures, to show that it’s not a trick, and that his papercraft Sora looks good from all angles:
picture 2 | picture 3

Because papercraft models can collect a lot of dust, you should really clean them regularly; or you can do like Jan, and keep it nice and safe in a plastic box to prevent dust getting onto it in the first place! ;o)

Thank you for building a Ninjatoes’ papercraft model!

Zelda, Kingdom Hearts and Mario models by Kevin

(click for a bigger picture)

29-10-2014: Kevin built quite a few papercraft models before, but he’s extra proud of his new one: the “King of Red Lions”, from “The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker”!

It’s a very challenging model to build, but Kevin spent a lot of time on it, and he even made the special “sea base” and the customized “Chokipeta Link” that Josh Darrah made (link).

And as you can see, the end result looks great! ;o)
picture 2 | picture 3 | picture 4

05-10-2014: Kevin already built quite a few papercraft models, and here are some new ones!

The first one is adult Link, from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time: picture

But actually, he built two versions of Ocarina of Time’s adult Link, the other one is the one riding Epona: picture

The next one is from another Legend of Zelda game, namely Twilight Princess, and it’s Link in the Zora armor: picture!

The other two papercraft models are from the Kingdom Hearts series, and they are the main character Sora and his Keyblade and a character featured from the Final Fantasy series, Cloud Strife:

picture | picture | picture

Building so many papercraft models shows that Kevin really likes papercraft, and with the experience he gained, he’s thinking about tackling more complex papercraft models too! ;o)

05-04-2014: Kevin sent me bunch of new pictures of the new papercraft models he built since last time! One of them is another Legend of Zelda model, Fierce Deity Link: picture

But this time he also made some Mario models: in this picture, you can see the Paper Mario 3D that I made, but Kevin also built Paperlegend’s Mario 64 (picture) and PaperJuke’s Luigi (picture)!

And because paper models don’t really care who made them of course, PaperJuke’s Luigi and my Paper Mario are getting along quite well: picture ! ;o)

31-01-2014: Kevin is a big time fan of the Legend of Zelda series, and since he liked Twilight Princess, he decided to build my papercraft Twilight Link, and he did a great job too: picture ! ;o)

Where my own paper Twilight Link has his Master Sword and Hylian Shield in his hands, Kevin made it so they are on his back, and it really looks very good: picture 2

Here are two more pictures from the sides: picture 3 | picture 4

Thank you for building these Ninjatoes’ (andother people’s ;o) papercraft models!

Kingdom Hearts Sora with shiny keyblade by Collecter128!

26-09-2013: Collector128 showed us the shiny Kingdom Hearts keyblade he made earlier already, and here’s a new picture, this time with Sora himself holding both keyblades!

It’s a great build, and with Sora wielding two keyblades now thanks to Collector128, I wouldn’t want to be a Heartless…! ;o)

11-02-2013: Inspired by the shiny lightsaber of my papercraft LEGO Luke Skywalker minifig, Collecter128 made a shiny gold and silver Kingdom Hearts keyblade from my papercraft Sora model! ;o)

You can compare the results in this picture: picture

The original version was made from the regular, printed parts, and the shiny version was made using metallic paper; it looks really good, and I think Sora would be happy to have such a keyblade! ;o)

Collecter128 als made several neat paper models of his own, if you like to see which ones (and maybe even try them yourself! ;o) all you have to do is take a look in the Papercraft album in his DeviantArt gallery: link

You can also see a bigger picture of his keyblade there!

Thank you for building a Ninjatoes’ papercraft model!

Paper Mario 3D by Beav3rboy

2013-08-10: Here’s an excellent build of my Paper(craft) Mario 3D again, by Beav3rboy! ;o)

“Paper Mario 3D” is actually only Beav3rboy’s latest addition to his papercraft collection though, he has a whole cabinet filled with papercraft models he built!

And it’s a really broad collection too, ranging from a Star Wars scout trooper on a speederbike to Santa and his sleigh and even a Skyrim Frost Dragon, and lots more cartoon and video game characters!

Don’t believe me? Then check out his DeviantArt gallery and see for yourself: link

I just hope he can still find a spot for his new Paper Mario…! ;o)

Thank you for building a Ninjatoes’ papercraft model!

American McGee’s Alice and more by Bruno

2013-07-16: Everybody knows the story of the cute, young Alice that falls down a rabbit hole and ends up in a wondrous and magical place called “Wonderland”!

But Bruno likes American McGee’s version of the story of “Alice” better, where she is a bit older and Wonderland is much darker and more… evil…

So that’s why he decided to build my papercraft version of American McGee’s Alice as you can see! ;o)

He was a little bit dreading having to do the hands and the fingers because they looked so difficult, but then he was able to focus himself on the job and he managed to finish them!

If you’re impressed by Bruno’s build of American McGee’s Alice, have a look at his DeviantArt gallery, where you can see many other papercraft models he built already, including my own Kingdom Hearts Sora and the Koume and Kotake witches and Midna from the Zelda series: link

Thank you for building these Ninjatoes’ papercraft models!

Link, Sora and Yuna by cdncarlie

18-05-2013: This Ocarina of Time adult Link was the first papercraft model where cdncarlie coloured all the white edges of the paper to get rid of the “white lines” on the final paper model.

Despite the extra time it took, she really likes the result and I think you’ll have to agree that it looks really good! ;o)

Ocarina of Time Link wasn’t the first papercraft model cdncarlie built though: two other paper models of mine that she built are Kingdom Hearts’ Sora and Final Fantasy X-2’s Yunapicture | picture

Yuna is actually an old model already, from March 2009, and at the time, it was the most difficult model cdncarlie did so far!

She gave Yuna away as a gift, but she feels that with all the papercrafting experience she has now (in her DeviantArt gallery, you can see lots more papercraft models she built: link !) she could do an even better job now! ;o)

cdncarlie is a bit of a perfectionist, so she would also like to fix Sora’s Kingdom Key keyblade (it looks a bit crooked) but the problem is that she already gave that one away as a gift too…! ;o)

Thank you for building these Ninjatoes’ papercraft models!

Keyblade Danbo by Sabi3293

25-04-2013: Look at this cute little papercraft scene built by Sabine from Germany: it’s the cute little cardboard robot “Danbo“, wanting to be a Keyblade wielding hero like Sora from Kingdom Hearts! ;o)

My own papercraft Sora that Danbo got the Keyblade from to play with can be found here, and Danbo himself is a character from the Japanese manga “Yotsuba&!

The cute cardboard robot made his appearance in chapter 12 of the manga and quickly became very popular on the internet, and many people have made their own papercraft version of him!

Sabine says she can’t remember exactly where she got the moveable papercraft Danbo that she built, but she thinks it might be the one made by yuiiwae, who you can find on DeviantArt here: link

And while you’re on DeviantArt, have a look at the other papercraft models that Sabine built in her own gallery, and of course her polymer clay figures and other artwork too: link ;o)

Thank you for letting Danbo play with a Ninjatoes’ papercraft model! ;o)

Sora by Thiago

14-04-2013: This papercraft Sora was built by Thiago, and as you can see in the picture, he did a great job! ;o)

But that’s not surprising I think, because if you take a look at Thiago’s DeviantArt gallery, you can see he’s had lot of practice building other papercraft models too: link ;o)

Thank you for building a Ninjatoes’ papercraft model!

Sora by Rodrigo (RoderickXIII)

18-10-2012: Rodrigo (RoderickXIII) from Chile built this papercraft Sora from the game Kingdom Hearts 2!

Most parts of paper Sora aren’t too difficult I think, but there are some tricky parts like the hands and hair, but from the looks of it, Rodrigo did a great job!

He says he was very pleased with the way it went together, so I’m happy to hear that of course! ;o)

Together with Alfredo (AlfredxD), Rodrigo set up a DeviantArt account under the name NotNotGuilty, and although right now Sora is the only papercraft model to see there yet, you can also see lots of drawings from all kinds of video games, movies and other things they made!

Thank you for building a Ninjatoes’ papercraft model!

Cloud and young princess Zelda by Mr Trollen

13-10-2012: Mr Trollen sent me a new tweet saying he has a problem… He’s gotten addicted to papercraft! ;o)

Maybe it’s the fumes from the glue…? All I can say though, is do take a break every once in a while, and don’t forget about your other hobbies and tasks! ;o)

In the picture you can see Cloud that Mr Trollen already finished last time, and Snorlax and Hatsune Miku are done now too!

And there’s even a new model that he built since last time, young Princess Zelda!

We wish Mr Trollen the best with his new addiction, and I hope he can find a good balance between building paper models and the other stuff he likes/has to do…! ;o)

04-10-2012: Mr Trollen tells me on Twitter, that Cloud is the first Ninjatoes’ papercraft model he built, and I think it looks really good: picture

In the foreground you can see a papercraft Pokémon Snorlax from the PaperPokés website and Vocaloid Hatsune Miku from Seisaku Diary in progress.

If Mr Trollen does just as good a job on those as he did on Cloud, they will definitely turn out great as well!

Thank you for building a Ninjatoes’ papercraft model!

Yellow Comet Rockets by Florian

17-04-2012: Florian (alias Dornogol) built my Advance Wars Yellow Comet Rocket unit!

The mechanism to move the rocket tubes up and down is quite tricky to build on this unit, and although everything moved fine at first, Florian used toothpicks to lock them in place.

And despite some trouble with the small binoculars, Florian did a great job building the little soldier too! ;o)

He says he’s confident to build more complex models now, and I’m sure he can! If you have a look at his DeviantArt gallery, you can see he already has lots of experience doing paper models and other art projects: link

Earlier, he even built my Kingdom Hearts Sora and Oogie Boogie; you can see a picture of them together with some MineCraft models and Tubbypaws dioramas here: picture

Thank you for building these Ninjatoes’ papercraft models!

Sora by LoloStudio

13-02-2012: With almost 100 pieces (95 to be exact ;o) it took Logan almost 30 hours to build this papercraft Kingdom Hearts 2 Sora!

But he says it was worth it, because he’s very happy with his paper model! ;o)

If you want to read a bit more about it, or see the nice Baby Peach (made by Sabi96) that Logan also built, have a look at LoloStudio’s DeviantArt gallery: link

Thank you for building a Ninjatoes’ papercraft model!

Kingdom Hearts & Zelda models by Joshua

30-10-2011: This time, Joshua sent me a group picture of all the papercraft models he built so far! From left to right they are:

For some of the models, he used a technique called “edge-colouring” to get rid of the white lines you get from the thickness of the paper.

It’s a little bit of extra work of course, but as you can see on his paper model of Cloud, the result is great: picture

Thank you for building these Ninjatoes’ papercraft models!

25-10-2011: It took Joshua 15 hours to build his papercraft Kingdom Hearts Sora, and I think he did a really good job: picture

It isn’t the first papercraft model that Joshua built: before Sora, he also built Link and Epona (so that’s actually two models ;o) and now he’s building Oogie Boogie, from Tim Burton’s Nightmare Before Christmas (and Kingdom Hearts).

I think maybe it’s for Halloween? ;o) But I’m sure it’s also because he likes the Kingdom Hearts game (because it really is a great game! ;o)

Thank you for building this Ninjatoes’ papercraft model!

Oogie Boogie, Homer and Zelda models by Khalid

30-05-2011: Another picture of Khalid; he has built quite a few paper models already! From left to right, they are:

Who knows what he may built next! ;o)

20-05-2011: Khalid is a fast builder! While he was waiting for me to post his pictures of Twilight Link, he already made another paper model: Oogie Boogie!

Here are two pictures of both of them together: picture 1 | picture 2

And here’s also one of Oogie Boogie alone: picture

Although I did make Oogie Boogie a bit easier to build than Twilight Link, Khalid must still have worked pretty fast to finish it so quickly! ;o)

18-05-2011: This papercraft Link from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess was built by Khalid.

Khalid had some trouble to get the small fingers right at first, but as you can see in the picture, in the end he really did to do a very good job on them, so that Link can hold his Master Sword and Hylian Shield!

He showed me several more pictures, including these close-ups of Link’s upper body and head: picture 2 | picture 3

So luckily, Khalid didn’t give up on making the fingers, and I think he can be very proud of his papercraft Twilight Link! ;o)

Thank you for building a Ninjatoes’ papercraft model!

Sora by Josh LedBread

09-05-2011: After 26 hours of papercrafting, Josh can finally sit back and admire his work!

He built Sora as a gift for his girlfriend, whom he introduced to the amazing worlds of Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts, making her a fan as well! ;o)

So he really wanted to do the best he could! For the best effect, Josh used a technique called edge-colouring, using markers to get rid of the white lines of the paper.

He didn’t have all the exact right colours, so he says the edges pop out a bit more than he’d like, but I think it looks pretty good: picture 2 | picture 3

He also scored the fold lines with the back of his X-Acto knife where he needed to make sharp, crisp folds. This made folding those parts much easier, for example the hair: picture 4

I’m sure any Kingdom Hearts fan, old or new, would love a Sora to put on their desk, so I hope Josh’s girlfriend will enjoy his gift and appreciate the hours he put into it for her! ;o)

Thank you for building a Ninjatoes’ papercraft model!

Paper Mario by Lauren

26-12-2010: only a couple of days after I released it, Lauren already sent me this picture of the paper Mario she built: a very fast and a very good build! ;o)

13-10-2010: after taking a break for a couple of months, Lauren decided to make a new paper model again, and I’m of course very proud that she chose my Majora’s Mask Postman! ;o)

07-01-2010: I don’t know if it’s the extra practice or just her talent for papercraft, but the Underworld wetsuit Lara from Tomb Raider Lauren made after that turned out very good too: picture 1 | picture 2 !

And not only that, but Lauren also decided to build young Link and princess Zelda a second time and do an even better job!

31-12-2009: Lauren sent me some pictures of her Twilight Princess Link !

Although the thinner cardstock she used made it a bit more difficult using the little slots and tabs on the head, I think it looks great! Here you can see it in anticipation for the New Year’s Day fireworks! ;o)

18-10-2009: Here’s a very nice build of Lara’s Extreme Depth Suit (although Lauren couldn’t find a suited transparant sheet to make the helmet visor, the opaque versions looks pretty neat as well! ;o)

And Lauren must be a Simpsons fan as well, because look who we have here: it’s Homer Simpson himself! ;o) And something totally different, but also a great build: she also made my new Final Fantasy Moomba doll!

21-06-2009: I only just uploaded my newest Zora armor Link model two days ago, and Lauren already sent me some new pictures of her completed ZaL! And I know what you’re thinking, but it doesn’t look rushed at all! picture 1 | picture 2 | picture 3

13-04-2009: another non-Zelda model from Lauren, it’s my newest Cloud model. She glued on the legs last so she could work out a good balance, and although she says the hair and fingers gave her some troubles, you wouldn’t say so from just the picture I think, anyway. ;o)

20-01-2009: Lauren revealed to me that Ganondorf and Epona & Link weren’t the first models she made: she also did Fierce Deity Linkyoung princess Zeldayoung Link and Majora’s Mask, Midna and wolf Link, and (surprise! ;o) a non-Zelda model as well, namely, Lara Croft.

18-01-2009: I think we got Lauren pretty well hooked on papercraft now, because so shortly after Ganondorf, she also made Epona & Link (see the picture here) in just 2 days, and she’s already planning the next one! ;o)

14-01-2009: The first pictures Lauren sent me, were of her Ganondorf model, and it was very good one!

She told me she had a lot of fun building him, but I also think you can also tell by the quality of the build! ;o)

It’ll probably come as no surprise to you that Lauren is pretty creative: if you have time you should check out her Deviantart gallery with lots of nice computer paintings including several from the Legend of Zelda!

Thank you for building these Ninjatoes’ papercraft models!

Sora by Esteban

05-09-2010: Another Sora, this time from Esteban from Germany! It was a tricky build (especially the tiny fingers he says ;o) but he did a great job nonetheless!

There are two more pictures of Sora in Esteban’s DeviantArt gallery: picture 2 | picture 3

Sora is not the only paper model he made, though, so don’t forget to visit the rest of his gallery as well! ;o)

Thank you for building a Ninjatoes’ papercraft model!

Sora x2 by Riet Papier

15-08-2010: On Riet Papier’s YouTube channel you can see a wonderful little papercraft Christmas village, but her weblog shows that she also really loves making dollhouses out of paper and carton!

But of course once you have a dollhouse, you need dolls to live in it. And for a paper dollhouse, what better dolls than paper dolls? ;o)

So Riet decided to download and build some papercraft figurines. But of course, they had to match her dollhouses, so after making a regular sized Sora, she also made a mere 8 cm tall Sora!

I hope he likes tea: picture ;o)

There are more pictures of Sora and his fellow residents here, and lots more pictures of Riet’s dollhouses on her weblog, so be sure to check it out!

Thank you for building a Ninjatoes’ papercraft model!

Sora by Andre Giovanni

26-07-2010: Andre tells me not to mind the mess on his desk, but I’m sure everybody will be looking more at his great build of Sora anyway! ;o)

09-04-2009: Earlier, Andre was the second person to send me a picture of their papercraft Cloud model (although he was hoping to be the first… ;o)

But first or second, it still looks a very good build! It can be a bit confusing to figure out how to glue all the hair parts together, so Andre included an extra picture to show how well he did it! But that’s no surprise, because we can see in the background, he has had lots of practice! ;o)

It looks great Andre, I hope you had fun building!

Thank you for building a Ninjatoes’ papercraft model!

rotating Kurt Zisa by Dan Hilse

17-07-2010: Dan made this animated gif to show off his Kurt Zisa from all angles! He did the same for his Zora armor Link, but to see that one, you will have to visit his DeviantArt gallery: link

18-04-2010: Dan did a great job building Kotake and Koume! Using a barely visible piece of string, he made it look like they’re really flying around in his room!

At least that’s what I think he did; for his sake, I hope they’re not real witches…!

17-12-2009: This is Dan showing off his freshly mown lawn. ;o) He didn’t say though whether he did it himself, or that Link has a bag full of Rupees, Potions and Hearts right now…! ;o)

22-11-2009: Zora armor Link is Dan’s first build from Twilight Princess. He said he took extra care building that one and it really paid off, because it looks “really good!”

20-11-2009: By now, Dan has plenty of papercrafting practice! ;o) Printed off and assembled in just two days, Dan’s other models don’t seem to be scared by his new Oogie Boogie (maybe they know it’s just a paper one…?)

05-09-2009: Speaking of Dan’s other models, this Kurt Zisa really is a great build: it looks wonderful, but that’s not surprising because he had a lot of practice! ;o)

23-08-2009: And let’s not forget Homer Simpson as part of Dan’s paper model collection as well!

06-06-2009: Taking a break fom building Final Fantasy models, Dan also built not on, not two, but several of my Zelda models! In the picture he sent me, you can recognize young Link, princess Zelda herself, Majora’s Mask and the Clock Town Schnauzer of course.

I know you’ve never seen the darker dog, because that’s Dan’s own recolor of the Clock Town Schnauzer to make it look like the common ones found at night at Hyrule Castle in Ocarina of Time!

02-06-2009: And here’s another one for Dan to be proud of: it’s Cloud Strife Kingdom Hearts style! It’s looking at least as good as Auron, maybe it has something to do with the motivation he got from watching his brother play Final Fantasy 7 while he built it? ;o)

23-05-2009: This is Auron, built by Dan Hilse. Dan says he had “a lot of fun building it!” and he’s “really proud of the results!” and really, who wouldn’t be? ;o)

Thank you for building these Ninjatoes’ papercraft models!

Kingdom Hearts 2 Sora by Kupo

01-07-2010: building this Sora was a lot more time consuming for Kupo than building chibi Sora (second picture from the bottom in this post) but judging from the pictures, it was worth it! ;o)

22-05-2010: Kupo has been really busy papercrafting all kinds of models since last time, besides building American McGee’s Alice, he also expanded his Blue Moon army with a Stealth Fighter and APC: picture

And that’s only a fraction of the new models that he built! You can see many more of them of them on his own weblog here, including some close-ups of Alice, and some papercraft projects of his own; be sure to check it out! ;o)

08-02-2010: When you’re done gazing at the two robots and Kupo’s hand-made Pokéball in this picture, what do you think of his Neotank build? I think it looks pretty good!

He even made a video showing how the legs move with the mechanism inside: link

Kupo also built several of my Zelda models (picture 1 | picture 2) and as you can see, he likes building all kind of models from other people as well, so check out his weblog (and works-in-progress-blog) to see all his other builds!

Thank you for building these Ninjatoes’ papercraft models!

Cloud Strife by aj Tawagon

19-06-2010: In case you’re wondering what happened to Cloud’s Buster Sword, aj Tawagon simply opted to glue it to Cloud’s back instead of his hand. ;o)

So now you can clearly see, that Cloud’s sword is actually bigger than he is! ;o) Here’s a close up of the top part of the sword.

Thank you for building a Ninjatoes’ papercraft model!

Sora by Carlos Gomez

04-06-2010: only a few days after I released it, Carlos already sends me a picture of Sora!

08-04-2009: Carlos strikes again! This time not with a Zelda model, but with his favourite character from his favourite RPG, Cloud Strife! You can see the picture here: picture 2

18-09-2007: the first picture that Carlos “Charly” Gomez (“MasteR”) from Mexicali (Baja California) in Mexico sent me, shows you what a big Legend of Zelda fan he is!

He built not one, not two, but all of my Zelda models, which include some of the most challenging ones I have to offer.

It took him something like three months, but from what I can see, it was definately worth the effort!

Thank you for building these Ninjatoes’ papercraft models!

Cloud Strife by Melissa

21-04-2010: after having caught the papercraft virus, Melissa, from the Netherlands, was inspired to try and make her own paper models as well!

You can see (and download!) her first creation on her Winged Crafts weblog, it’s a lifesize Dragonstalker helmet from World of Warcraft!

26-05-2009: Melissa also built another one of my models, namely Kim Possible! We would have had a picture of it on the beach, but after it started raining, she wisely decided to take the picture a different time… ;o)

22-04-2009: The Cloud you see in the picture above, was one of the first paper models Melissa built.

As you can see, she printed the parts on glossy paper and she did a really good job building him! I just hope he won’t fall in the water…

(I was worried about Cloud, Melissa was worried about the fish… ;o)

Thank you for building these Ninjatoes’ papercraft models!

Epona by Hunter Turner

18-03-2010: Hunter built another one of my Zelda models! Of course you already recognized Link’s trusty horse Epona (who apparantly really wants to play the Nintendo Wii… ;o)

27-01-2010: Hunter Turner proves once again that age doesn’t matter in papercraft, only patience and determination to finish what you started! ;o)

He’s only ten years old and already made my Kingdom Hearts version of Cloud Strife, in just three and a half days!

Hunter also built a very fierce looking Oni Link! He says it’s the flash from the camera that makes it look so intimidating, but maybe it’s just the mysterious powers in the mask…

Excellent work!

Thank you for building these Ninjatoes’ papercraft models!

Advance Wars, Zelda, Kurt Zisa & Sharpedo models by Llamadragon

15-03-2010: Llamadragon told me he would probably build some more paper models of mine, and he sure did: 12 models in total now, as you can see in the picture above!

New are Sharpedo, the Green Earth Cruiser and Black Hole Tank and MD Tank from my Advance Wars series, Twilight Link (group picture) and the one I think he is the most proud of, Kingdom Hearts’ Kurt Zisa!

But I think he has every right to be proud of it: he tells me it took him about 28-32 hours in total, but he enjoyed building it, and I think that shows in his finished paper model because it looks really great!

07-01-2010: Llamadragon told me he had built several of my Zelda and Advance Wars paper models, and to prove it, he sent me a picture! ;o)

Thank you for building these Ninjatoes’ papercraft models!
