Link, Mario, LEGO C-3PO, Kim Possible, NES Zapper, Batman, Lulu, Barack Obama and lots more by Richard (and Kristine ;o)

23-03-2019: Richard did it again! He built another really nice papercraft, and this time it’s Cloud, in the Kingdom Hearts version!

He’s originally from the Final Fantasy series though of course, where he’s famous for his huge “buster sword” – in fact even the papercraft version is so heavy, that he decided to put it down for a little bit: picture ;o)

It’s another great build by Richard, whose only problem now he says that he “doesn’t know where to put them anymore…” ;o)

17-10-2018: Who wants to build papercrafts when it’s so warm and sunny like it was last Summer? Not Richard! ;o)

In fact, he didn’t papercraft for months, but now it’s Fall, he felt the itch to papercraft something again, and that something was Twilight Link: picture 1 | picture 2 | picture 3

07-03-2018: Richard’s friend is a big Obama fan, so Richard decided to build a papercraft LEGO Obama for her as a gift: picture ;o)

You can see that I don’t have a papercraft Obama LEGO minifig though, so he recoloured my Luke Skywalker to make it. ;o)

To save time, Richard left out all the inner parts that are quite tricky to build sometimes and take a lot of extra work. So LEGO Obama can’t move his arms and legs like my other papercraft minifigs, but he looks great for the picture of course! ;o)

06-02-2018: Normally, Richard builds papercrafts that he knows, but even though he never played Final Fantasy X, he liked my papercraft Lulu so much that he decided to try it anyway: picture

It took him four weeks of work at a regular pace. And although he says some parts like the hands were hard to build for him and that he would like to “build them as clean” as me, I think he’s a bit exaggerating because his papercraft Lulu looks amazing, especially in her photoshopped setting! (I’m half expecting a big Ragora to pop up from the background! – not that that would worry Lulu of course, since she’d just Firaga the hell out of it ;o)

02-01-2018: Well, it looks like Batman is warning us beforehand not to make any trouble on the streets of Gotham, or else… :o!

This time, Richard had the help of his sister Kristine, making this papercraft Batman as a holiday project together: picture

It was not easy, especially the head and hands, but I must say they did a good job on making him look so intimidating to any evildoers: picture ;o)

24-11-2017: Richard has been playing Super Mario 64 lately, and couldn’t resist building Paper Mario 3D: picture

He says he didn’t find it very difficuly to build, except maybe the hand. ;o) But as you can see, he managed, and Paper Mario 3D is quite as part of his growing papercraft collection: picture!

19-10-2017: How cool is that! Richard is fairly new to papercraft, but he already made not only LEGO C-3PO, but also Kim Possible and the NES Zapper:

picturepicture | picture

Some parts like C-3PO’s head and hands were tricky, but as you can see, he did an impressive job! ;o)

Thank you for building these Ninjatoes’ (and other peoples’!) papercraft models!

Snow Queen, Wonder Woman, Batman and many other repaints by David Penso

18-04-2017: There are two reasons why you might not recognize my original Wetsuit Lara papercraft model in this new repaint made by David.

Not only did Lara go blonde, but more importantly, our familiar Tomb Raider is wearing a dress!?

And not just any dress, but a real Snow Queen dress, with icy motifs! ;o)

06-03-2016: This picture shows the newest repaint made by David: Wonder Woman, played by the actress Gal Gadot in the upcoming “Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice”!

Wonder Woman is a mix of the Underworld wetsuit and the Legend versions, but her clothes, shield, and other weapons are all brand new by David!

I hope the movie will be good too…! ;o)

29-08-2015: As you can see below, David must be a big Batman fan, because he spent a lot of time repainting my papercraft Batman several times before already!

This time, he repainted him as the Christian Bale version, from the 2005-2012 “The Dark Knight Trilogy” Batman movie series reboot by Christopher Nolan, looking very dark indeed: picture

21-04-2014: After repainting my papercraft Batman into several other comic book characters, this time David left “The Dark Knight” as he is: picture ;o)

16-03-2014: Why should the U.S.A. be the only country that has a national superhero (Captain America)? For instance here’s David’s version of Captain Mexico (based on my papercraft Batman again): picture ;o)

10-02-2014: Superman is no longer a Man of Steel, but a Man of Paper: picture ;o)

06-02-2014: David made another repaint of my papercraft Batman after a request from a friend, who as you can see wanted him to make a papercraft He-Man: picture ;o)

15-03-2013: David still wasn’t done with Batman, but this time he wasn’t making Batman, but Flash, another comic book hero: picture !

Just as he made Lara into the Black Widow earlier, he took the parts of my papercraft Batman and repainted them into the distinctive red and gold colours of Flash!

And as you can see, since Flash is just as muscular as Batman in the comic books, it looks pretty good! ;o)

13-11-2012: After a few people made my papercraft Batman out of aluminium beverage cans, David made a regular, paper one again: picture

He glued on the left arm a little crooked, but instead of changing it, he made a little Batarang and put it in Batman’s hand so it looks like he’s about to throw it! ;o)

05-06-2012: Some time ago, David contacted me about the possibility of recolouring my papercraft Tomb Raider Legend Lara to make her look like Natasha Romanova (Black Widow) from Marvel’s Avengers series.

And as you can see, he decided to pursue the idea, and now you can see the result: picture

David really did a great job! I think Lara looks great as Black Widow, with the contrasting black catsuit and the red/aubern hair, which is kinda her trademark I guess. ;o)

David even added some extra strips of orange paper to give Black Widow some more/fuller hair, and for the final finishing touch, he used the bullet bracelets and belt buckle parts from the My Paper Heroes Black Widow toy: link

15-12-2011: This time, David built my papercraft model of Indiana Jones: professor of archeology, expert on the occult, and ‘obtainer of rare antiqueties‘ (in other words, a tomb raider ;o)

You can see a picture of David’s paper Indy here: picture

Of course he has his trusty fedora and shoulder bag, his whip, his gun, and a machete to cut through the jungles of Peru.

Everything an adventurer needs to save the world from certain doom. ;o)

15-11-2011: This year, Thanksgiving falls on November 24th, and as you can see, David has already been making preparations: picture

He made a small Thanksgiving display for the office where he works with the papercraft Thanksgiving turkey from the SpaceStation42 (I think he made the turkey’s legs himself) and his Homer Simpson paper model.

But although a papercraft turkey isn’t edible of course, Homer doesn’t seem to realize that…

(or perhaps, Homer being Homer, he just doesn’t care that it’s only a paper turkey… ;o)

11-11-2011: Only a day after the last one, David sent me another picture of a papercraft model he built, this time of Homer Simpson!

David did a great job putting it together, but I’m not sure he should leave Homer alone with a pair of scissors, though; knowing Homer, that combination can’t possibly end very well…

10-11-2011: After Mario, David built another one of my papercraft models: the Great White shark from the Tomb Raider II video game: picture

It’s one of the first models I made using Pepakura Designer, because I really like the polygonal/blocky look of the classic Tomb Raider games!

And I kinda like sharks, and although I’m not sure Lara does too (to be honest, I never almost got eaten by one…) I’m glad David does! ;o)

13-07-2011: It’s always fun to welcome a new co-worker at the office, and especially if it’s Paper Mario!

This one was built by David Penso, and from the looks of it, Mario‘s already feeling at home: picture ;o)

Thank you for building these Ninjatoes’ papercraft models!

Mario, Link and other papercrafts by Ivana

(click for a bigger picture)

14-01-2016: Ivana from Brazil doesn’t remember exactly when she made the first papercraft in the picture above, but she does remember the order she made them in:

  1. the Master Sword in the pedestal, from The Legend of Zelda (by Xenonray)
  2. Toad, from the Mario series (by Oli Gig I think)
  3. Goku, from Dragon Ball Z (I think by Action Papercrafts)
  4. Link, from the Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (by me ;o)
  5. the Energy tank from the Metroid series (by Zenith Designs)
  6. Mario (by me again)

For Mario, she didn’t even need to use the instructions! But for Link, she was glad I made them because that one is more difficult…!

For Mario, she sent me bigger picture too: picture

I think it looks pretty good, don’t you? ;o)

She also sent some more pictures of Link, who seems to be admiring the Master Sword in the pedestal: picture

And moments later, the Master Sword has mysteriously disappeared from the pedestal: picture

I think Link took it, but it’s okay of course, since he’s a good guy. ;o)

So you can see that Ivana has taken quite a liking to making papercrafts. She told me she already printed my papercraft Lara Croft from Tomb Raider Legend, and I hope she’ll enjoy making that one too of course! ;o)

Thank you for downloading and building these Ninjatoes’ (and others’ ;o) papercraft models!

Mario, Link, Lara and Alice by Fasme

25-04-2014: Fasme shared some of the pictures of the papercraft models that he built on Twitter already, not just my Paper Mario you see above, but also adult Link, young Lara and even American McGee’s Alice that he made for his girlfriend on Valentine’s Day! ;o)

You can see those pictures here too: picture | picture | picture

But even those are only a few of the many papercraft models that Fasme built!

On his own webpage you can see lots more, not just from my papercraft models, but also from many other papercrafters and even some original ones of his own: Fasme Creations.

Be sure to check it out! ;o)

Thank you for building these Ninjatoes’ (and other people’s! ;o) papercraft models!

Paper Mario 3D by Beav3rboy

2013-08-10: Here’s an excellent build of my Paper(craft) Mario 3D again, by Beav3rboy! ;o)

“Paper Mario 3D” is actually only Beav3rboy’s latest addition to his papercraft collection though, he has a whole cabinet filled with papercraft models he built!

And it’s a really broad collection too, ranging from a Star Wars scout trooper on a speederbike to Santa and his sleigh and even a Skyrim Frost Dragon, and lots more cartoon and video game characters!

Don’t believe me? Then check out his DeviantArt gallery and see for yourself: link

I just hope he can still find a spot for his new Paper Mario…! ;o)

Thank you for building a Ninjatoes’ papercraft model!

Paper Mario by Papercraft Indonesia

14-08-2012: Papercraft is very popular in Indonesia (no doubt for a large part thanks to the Paper-Replika website! ;o) and here is more proof!

This picture of my papercraft Mario (and several other papercraft models from various websites! ;o) was posted by PapercraftID (Papercraft Indonesia) some time ago on their Twitter account: link

Although the hands weren’t finished yet in this picture, Papercraft Mario already looks really good I think! ;o)

If you want to see more of PapercraftID‘s pictures, you can look up their Twitter account with posted images here: link

Thank you for building a Ninjatoes’ papercraft model!

Cloud by Sotong Kring

14-10-2012: Sotong Kring just keeps building and building, it seems! ;o) Here’s a new paper model built by him already: Cloud Strife!

From this angle, you can really see how huge the Buster Sword is: you wouldn’t want to run into that if you were Cloud’s enemy…

Another great build by Sotong Kring!

13-10-2012: A few days ago, Sotong Kring sent me a picture of the paper Mario he built, but now he showed me two new pictures of models he also built!

One of them is Underworld Lara, and Sotong Kring took a beautiful picture of her: picture

Lara seems to have made it out of the shark infested waters, and is now making her way through the jungle in search of some ancient temple ruins

And the other one is a T-Rex dinosaur, who seems to have already met Lara (seeing as it is already feets up: picture ;o)

Two more great builds by Sotong Kring!

10-10-2012: Sotong Kring tells me he’s a fan of my blog, because he can find many papercraft models through it.

And as you can see, one of the paper models he found, was my very own papercraft Mario: picture ;o)

I think Sotong’s paper Mario looks really wonderful, and from the looks of it, Mario himself is pretty happy with the job Sotong did too! ;o)

Thank you for building a Ninjatoes’ papercraft model!

Captain Linebeck by EldeTabernas

25-12-2011: You didn’t think Eldetabernas stopped building paper models, did you? ;o)

Last time he build a LEGO Pirate captain, this time it’s another sea captain, from The Legend of Zelda Phantom Hourglass: the fearless (or so he keeps telling others…) Captain Linebeck!

As captain of the S.S. Linebeck, he ferries Link from island to island over the Great Sea, and from the looks of it they’ll be visiting Madagascar soon! (watch out for penguins! ;o)

Great job building Linebeck!

12-05-2011: This time Eldetabernas built a paper model that’s not from a video game (well, if you don’t count the 1998 video game LEGO Racers… ;o)

It’s the coolest pirate LEGO ever made, captain Redbeard! Although he’s missing a leg, a hand and an eye, he’s still smiling: picture

Like all LEGO products, minifigs can be disassembled and assembled again in seperate parts, and Eldetabernas made a video showing that this papercraft version is no different: link ;o)

08-03-2011: With the problems with the mast and sail solved, Eldetabernas still wasn’t done with the King of Red Lions! ;o)

This time, he built the special sea base and the Chokipeta Wind Waker Link that Josh Darrah made (link).

I think they look very good, and fit perfectly with my King of Red Lions model! Here are two pictures: picture 1 | picture 2

To see a video of Eldetabernas’ King of Red Lions with the new sea base and some videos from the game (Eldetabernas didn’t want to cut the catchy music short ;o) go here!

25-02-2011: We already saw that Eldetabernas built the King of Red Lions again using stronger paper than the first time, but the sail was still causing the mast to bend because it was so heavy

Now, he also solved that problem, by rebuilding the mast and sail and using two, long toothpicks and a Chinese chopstick to reinforce the parts from the inside!

So now, the mast is no longer bent: picture 1! He even made a schematic to show you how he did it: picture 2

He also didn’t glue on the backside of the sail this time to reduce the weight (because like he says: “it’s heavy and you can’t see that part!” ;o)

And as you can see it was well worth going back and re-building the mast and sail again: now the mast is perfectly straight!

Great work again!

16-02-2011: Eldetabernas sent me a message that together with two of his friends, he started a papercraft weblog of his own: Papercrafteros!

On their new weblog, they will showcase the paper models they built, so if his friends are just as big a papercraft enthustiacs as himself, I’m sure we will be seeing *a lot* of pictures there! ;o)

The blog is in Spanish, but you can use a tool to translate it or just look at the pictures! ;o)

29-01-2011: Besides sending me this picture and video of the papercraft Wind Waker Fishman (made by the Papercraft Couple) that he built, Eldetabernas also made a video tour of the artwork in his house – including all the paper models he built of course! ;o)

Here’s the link if you want to watch it too!

13-01-2011: You recognize this guy of course, it’s-a Mario! ;o) Built by Eldetabernas, and this time he also made a video!

You can see it on YouTube here: video

19-12-2010: Like so many papercrafters, Eldetabernas ran out of room to put his paper models… ;o)

His dad made two new shelves for him, but I think he will need even more shelves if he keeps building so fast: shelves icture ;o)

28-11-2010: More paper models by Eldetabernas! Besides remaking his Clocktown Schnauzer in less than 2 hours (here’s a picture of it together with young Link) he also built some other models since last time:

06-11-2010 EldeTabernas made another paper model; this time it’s Cloud Strife from my Final Fantasy / Kingdom Hearts series!

The hair and the boots were the most challenging parts he says, but I think he did a great job on those: picture 2 | picture 3

30-10-2010: This time EldeTabernas didn´t make a Legend of Zelda model, but the Nintendo Zapper light gun! picture 1 | picture 2

17-10-2010: EldeTabernas worked pretty fast, and he already finished the rest of the King of Red Lions! Unfortunately the mast still wasn’t strong enough for the sail, but I think it looks great nonetheless: picture 1 | picture 2

14-10-2010: In the first picture that he sent me, you can see that EldeTabernas already built the King of Red Lions once, but now he is building a new version out of stronger paper!

Because there are a lot of small parts on the figurehead, the King of Red Lions is definately one of my most challenging models, but that isn’t stopping EldeTabernas: picture 1 | picture 2

09-10-2010: Here’s another Legend of Zelda model built by EldeTabernas: Twilight Link!

He used regular printer paper, and except for the hands that required some extra patience, he didn’t find it very difficult and enjoyed making it. ;o)

02-10-2010: EldeTabernas from Spain sends me this picture of the Zelda models he made so far to show his progress:

The Clocktown Schnauzer dog, Majora’s Mask (center) and the King of Red Lions (right) were the first paper models he made, and his latest ones are wolf Link and the Postman! (both on the left)

Here are some more pictures, of one of his first builds, and one of his latest build:
King of Red Lions | Clock Town Postman

He is rightfully proud of his latest two builds I think, and even though he feels his first models aren’t as good, I hope he enjoyed making them! ;o)

Thank you for building these Ninjatoes’ papercraft models!

Paper Mario 3D by Vincentmrl

3-11-2011: This Paper Mario was built by Vincentmrl!

He wanted to make a “time-lapse” of it (where you see it built part by part), but unfortunately, that didn’t work out…

Still, Mario looks pretty happy to be on Vincent’s desk amonst all the other papercraft models!

He must have eaten plenty of Super Mushrooms, because he’s become a bit big for the Super Mario World 1-1 diorama from nerd-craft in the background now… ;o)

The Portal diorama in the background on the left was made by Tubbypaws; I think Jumpman Mario would feel right at home in that world too! ;o)

Thank you for building this Ninjatoes’ papercraft model!

Paper Mario by Josh Stonham

29-06-2011: Josh from Australia only recently discovered papercraft, and after downloading a few models, he decided to start with Mario!

After a short explanation of basic papercrafting techniques like valley- and mountain folding and pre-shaping he set to work building Mario, and as you can see, he did a very good job!

It’s already a great first build, and of course he’ll only get better and better as he’s already planning to build more paper models! ;o)

Thank you for building a Ninjatoes’ papercraft model!

Paper Mario by Aaron Mears

16-05-2011: Aaron found some time again to do some more papercrafting this weekend, and he decided to build my 3D Paper Mario!

The picture was taken in computer class: Aaron’s classmates (and his teacher ;o) are always very impressed whenever he brings with him another one of his builds! ;o)

09-05-2011: After all the Zelda models that Aaron built earlier, this time he made an Advance Wars unit!

Although he never played the game, he liked the look of the Orange Star Fighter I made recently, so he decided to printed it off and and build it! ;o)

His pictures really show the scale of my papercraft Advance Wars units, most of them easily fit your hand: picture 1 | picture 2

This has its advantages, of course: for instance, you don’t have to invest in expensive Anti-Air units and Missiles anymore, since you can just pluck enemy Fighters from the sky should they be foolish enough to attack you: picture ;o)

04-08-2010: We had already seen Aaron’s wolf Link, but now he also built Midna: picture

Although I really made her to fit on the back of wolf Link, Aaron tells me she is also quite comfortable on the armrest of the chair that he made himself: picture

20-12-2009: Aaron’s thirst for Zelda models is far from satisfied yet, as he also built Hero outfit Link now! Here he is together with Zora armor Link, and here’s a picture of it alone.

22-10-2009: Two new models by Aaron Mears! The first one is princess Zelda, and the second one is wolf Link. Aaron has been working on them off and on all during summer break, and a month into school. So that’s how many Zelda models already? Well, you can see in this groupshot!

01-07-2009 Aaron promised me he’d send some new pictures, and here they are! The first one is a rebuild of young Link that he did earlier. I guess he just wanted to make it *perfect* (and now he also repainted the sheeth to make it look like the blade of the sword! ;o)

The second one is Fierce Deity Link. You can see another Fierce Deity Link in super deformed style in the picture, it’s a repaint of ChokiPETA’s Four Swords Link and can be downloaded from here.

The final one in this update is my newest model, Zora armor Link. I’m very glad to see that most people find it relatively easy to build, and the results like this one are usually great as well! ;o)

09-06-2009: More paper Zelda models from Aaron! This time it’s the King of Red Lions. And Aaron also built Josh Darrah’s Great Sea Base! (picture)

17-05-2009: I guess Aaron forgot to mention he also built my Epona & Link models! ;o) You can see them here, together with young Link and another Link from a different papercraft creator (which you can download here). If I remember correctly, it was made with Tenkai, the predecessor of Pepakura Designer.

And that concludes the random trivia lesson for today. ;o)

10-05-2009: Aaron sends me a few pictures of the young Link papercraft model he built. The small treasure chest he’s trying to open in this picture, can be found here (but it’s probably just another Small Key again, that you can only use in this dungeon… ;o)

Aaron also built the Clock Town Schnauzer model from my website. When Link is transformed into a Deku Scrub, it growls at you and attacks you, but after Link is transformed back to normal, the both of them get along just fine, as you can see in this picture.

The last picture shows that when Link is not playing with dogs, he likes to play King Arthur and pull swords out of stones. If you want to try yourself, you can download the template for the Master Sword and pedestal here.

Thank you for building these Ninjatoes’ papercraft models!

Paper Mario by Lauren

26-12-2010: only a couple of days after I released it, Lauren already sent me this picture of the paper Mario she built: a very fast and a very good build! ;o)

13-10-2010: after taking a break for a couple of months, Lauren decided to make a new paper model again, and I’m of course very proud that she chose my Majora’s Mask Postman! ;o)

07-01-2010: I don’t know if it’s the extra practice or just her talent for papercraft, but the Underworld wetsuit Lara from Tomb Raider Lauren made after that turned out very good too: picture 1 | picture 2 !

And not only that, but Lauren also decided to build young Link and princess Zelda a second time and do an even better job!

31-12-2009: Lauren sent me some pictures of her Twilight Princess Link !

Although the thinner cardstock she used made it a bit more difficult using the little slots and tabs on the head, I think it looks great! Here you can see it in anticipation for the New Year’s Day fireworks! ;o)

18-10-2009: Here’s a very nice build of Lara’s Extreme Depth Suit (although Lauren couldn’t find a suited transparant sheet to make the helmet visor, the opaque versions looks pretty neat as well! ;o)

And Lauren must be a Simpsons fan as well, because look who we have here: it’s Homer Simpson himself! ;o) And something totally different, but also a great build: she also made my new Final Fantasy Moomba doll!

21-06-2009: I only just uploaded my newest Zora armor Link model two days ago, and Lauren already sent me some new pictures of her completed ZaL! And I know what you’re thinking, but it doesn’t look rushed at all! picture 1 | picture 2 | picture 3

13-04-2009: another non-Zelda model from Lauren, it’s my newest Cloud model. She glued on the legs last so she could work out a good balance, and although she says the hair and fingers gave her some troubles, you wouldn’t say so from just the picture I think, anyway. ;o)

20-01-2009: Lauren revealed to me that Ganondorf and Epona & Link weren’t the first models she made: she also did Fierce Deity Linkyoung princess Zeldayoung Link and Majora’s Mask, Midna and wolf Link, and (surprise! ;o) a non-Zelda model as well, namely, Lara Croft.

18-01-2009: I think we got Lauren pretty well hooked on papercraft now, because so shortly after Ganondorf, she also made Epona & Link (see the picture here) in just 2 days, and she’s already planning the next one! ;o)

14-01-2009: The first pictures Lauren sent me, were of her Ganondorf model, and it was very good one!

She told me she had a lot of fun building him, but I also think you can also tell by the quality of the build! ;o)

It’ll probably come as no surprise to you that Lauren is pretty creative: if you have time you should check out her Deviantart gallery with lots of nice computer paintings including several from the Legend of Zelda!

Thank you for building these Ninjatoes’ papercraft models!
