21-04-2013: This wonderful version of young princess Zelda was built by DanteSagittariKnight from Chile!
Even though the picture is a bit dark, you can see how DanteSagittariKnight chose not to make sharp folds of all the fold lines on the templates.
As a result, you get a papercraft princess Zelda that’s a bit more smoother looking, and I think it looks great! ;o)

08-04-2013: Although my papercraft Ocarina of Time adult Link has “only” 57 parts (including the Hylian Shield and the Master Sword), Metallica005 says it felt like there were 100! ;o)
It took him 8 hours to fold and glue them all together, but with the experience he has in making cosplay props (as you can see on his DeviantArt page: link), it’s no surprise that his papercraft Link turned out great too!

15-02-2013: Jose built my papercraft Twilight Link before, but as you can see, this time he made some changes so he could put his arm in a different position!
This way, Link can be in a more relaxed stance (maybe a bit too relaxed even…? ;o)

Jose also opened up the top of the sheath on Link’s back, so the Master Sword can be put inside: picture
Why he needed to do that? Well, it’s so that Link can also use other weapons like this Ball and Chain from the Paper Zelda website: picture
It’s a good thing it’s only made from paper, because otherwise getting hit by that thing would cause some serious headaches…! ;o)
18-11-2012: Here’s another Ocarina of Time adult/Menu Link), this time built by Jose Vazquez: picture
As you can see, Jose even made it so that he can put the Hylian Shield on Link’s back and the Master Sword into the scabbard.
Adult/Menu Link is not the first paper model that Jose built: some other papercraft models of mine that he built include Epona and Link, Twilight Link, Zora armor Link (which he modified a bit just like Toni Müller did) and even Super Smash Bros. Melee Link!
Jose also built lots of paper models from other people too, like another Ocarina of Time Link (from Icthus7), a Hylian Knight (from Nintendo Papercraft) and a recoloured Twilight Princess > Skyward Sword Link (from Paper Zelda): group picture

03-02-2013: Burusai made this papercraft Majora’s Mask and picture together with her friend ShinigamiVermont!
The way it seems to be floating in mid air makes the already mesmerizing eyes look even more eerie…
I hope they know what they’re doing, because even if it’s two against one, the powers of Majora’s Mask aren’t to trifled with…! ;o)

29-01-2013: rebeccartist took up papercraft as a hobby about two years ago, and one of the paper models she built since then is my Majora’s Mask!
Originally, she built the mask in black and white, but she used acrylic paint togive it its mesmerizing colours! ;o)
Another one of the paper models that rebeccartist built so far, is the Clocktown Schnauzer; that one was a bit difficult to build she says, maybe because it’s quite small?
As you can see, it easily fits in the palm of her hand: picture
Rebeccartist tells me she would like to build lots more papercraft models, so maybe you’ll find them if you visit her DeviantArt gallery in the future: link ? ;o)

05-01-2013: Artemis-san started building her papercraft King of Red Lions boat on New Year’s Eve, and although some parts of it are quite tricky, it only took her a few days to finish! ;o)
And as you can see, she did a really great job too! But what I really like about it, are the pictures she took, making it look like the King of Red Lions is sailing in thin air! ;o)

16-12-2012: Wanting wolf Link‘s colours to be a bit brighter, DestinyShirshuXD decided to paint over the original textures after building it!
I think the new paintjob looks fantastic, so the extra work DestinyShirshuXD put into it was well worth it! ;o)

02-12-2012: In the picture above, you can see the first 2 papercraft models Stephen ever made: my Kingdom Hearts version of Final Fantasy VII’s Cloud Strife and my The Animated Series version of Batman!
They’re not the only papercraft models he made, though:
Stephen did a great job building these papercraft models, and I think he’s a big Final Fantasy fan, so these are probably only the tip of the iceberg! ;o)

26-11-2012: This cute paper dog is the Schnauzer that’s always chasing Link near the Clock Tower in The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask!
It was built by Jose, but because Jose doesn’t speak and write English very well, he made a very funny mistake at first in the description of the picture: he called it the dog from Clown Town! ;o)
But actually if you think about it, it’s not *that* strange a mistake, because some of the people that Link meets in Clock Town really do act like clowns sometimes…! ;o)

23-11-2012: Angélique showed me this picture of my papercraft Sora that she built, taken on top of her keyboard synthesizer!
Maybe Sora is a bit confused, because a keyboard is completely different from a keyblade of course…! ;o)
Because Angélique normally builds much bigger papercraft models, Sora was a bit more challenging than she was used to, but as you can see, Sora turned out really great nonetheless: picture 2 | picture 3

05-11-2012: Rijali from Indonesia sent me this picture of the papercraft Epona and Link that he built!
He even scaled down the templates a bit by printing them on A5 paper instead of A4 paper!
He says he found it easy to build and when it was finished, it looked great!
I have to agree with him when I see the picture, Rijali really did a great job building Epona and Link! ;o)

12-10-2012: Raylene uses the name legendarydragonstar on her DeviantArt page, because she really loves dragons!
But as you can see, she really likes the Legend of Zelda too! ;o)
She built my papercraft Epona + Link, and she did a really great job too because as you can see, they both look great!
You might be wondering why they both look so blackened, but maybe that’s because they’ve just had a close encounter with the fiery breath of that purple dragon in the picture…?
Still though, I don’t think Link would ever run away from a dragon like that!
(although I do have to note, that the game-Link that always goes straight after fire-breathing dragons isn’t made out of paper like this one of course… ;o)

02-10-2012: Samuel Herrera made an absolutely amazing stop-motion video of Fierce Deity Link battling Twilight Hero Link: video link
It turns out, Fierce Deity Link en Twilight Hero Link are both after the same treasure, and when they finally meet in the final room of the Sacred Living Room Dungeon, they fight to decided who gets the “ultimate” prize… ;o)
Of course paper models are no action figures, so it’s not so easy to make a stop-motion video of them, but Samuel did a great job!
For Zelda fans, there are lots of recognizable sound effects and visual effects, and although it must have taken Samuel a lot of time, you can really see he must have had a lot of fun making it! ;o)

29-09-2012: Joost from the Netherlands built the papercraft Linebeck from The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass you see in this picture!
He says there are some white lines from the paper on the back of his Linebeck figure, but that does not take away that he did a great job building it!
The most difficult part he found was the small pluck of hair on top of Linebeck’s head, but from the looks of it, he managed to build it just fine nonetheless! ;o)

19-08-2012: In this new picture that Azeral sent me, you can recognize some of my Legend of Zelda models, and some other papercraft models as well!
Of course you can recognize Fierce Deity Link, and not one but two Twilight Princess Zora armor Links (according to Azeral, one of them is a little old and needs a stick: ZaL 1 | ZaL 2 ;o)
His friends at school were very impressed with the paper models he built, so he likes to keep building them!
There are lots of other papercraft websites on the internet nowadays of course, and as you can see in the group picture, Azeral also built the boxing robot Noisy Boy from the Real Steel movie and a paper toy of Soul Eater Evans from the Soul Eater anime: Noisy Boy | Soul Eater Evans
I think Azarel did a great job on his paper models so far, and he’s already planning on building new models! ;o)
23-10-2011: Azeral sent me this picture of Twilight Princess’ Zora armor Link fighting a mechanical chick! (an evil cucco bomb perhaps…?)
ZaL isn’t the only paper model that Azeral built, though!
In this picture, you can see his Fierce Deity Link, and here is ZaL‘s brother! (and isn’t that Midna‘s helmet in the background in this picture…? ;o)

05-07-2012: Wolf Link is one of the most challenging papercraft models I made so far, especially the head.
Not only can wolf Link’s “hair” be quite confusing if you don’t take your time, but some of the parts (like the teeth) are *really* small!
Ancaleon totally agrees (in her words, “the teeth were INSANE!”)
Nonetheless, she persevered, and in three weeks time, she built her own papercraft wolf Link, and it looks great! (even the teeth ;o)
She used 176 gsm paper, but she’s kinda sorry she used a laser printer to print the templates, because some of the ink rubbed off at the creases, which she then had to touch up with a marker.
But all in all, she’s satisfied with the result, and who wouldn’t be? ;o)

23-06-2012: Andrew has been papercrafting for about 4 years, ever since he found my Majora’s Mask young Link papercraft model. ;o)
He built a few of other papercraft models of mine before, but the pictures he sent me are of his favourite one, the King of Red Lions!
It’s Andrew’s personal favourite, and I can totally understand that, because he put in a lot of extra work to make it look as great as it does. ;o)
He built it over a period of about two years, off and on in between other projects, and he used the papercraft Link and sea base that Josh Darrah made (it isn’t completely finished yet, but Andrew sent me the picture anyway: link ;o)
But Andrew went even further, making other small edits like the expression on Link’s face (picture) and he used markers to colour the white edges of the parts, so he wouldn’t get “white lines” on his model.
It was a lot of extra work, but it was definitely worth it: the King of Red Lions is now the proud centerpiece of his papercraft collection so far! ;o)

18-06-2012: Many Zelda fans like my papercraft model of young Link from Majora’s Mask, and personally, I think it’s because its “blocky” appearance makes it look like he jumped right from the screen onto your desk! ;o)
This one was built by thouartodd, and he even scaled it down to half its original size before building it.
It made some small parts a bit more difficult, but he did a great job: as you can see, young Link is looking great from all angles:

29-05-2012: After building her first papercraft model only a little while ago, Floriaski already built 2 new ones!
Or rather, you could say she built 3 new ones, because as you can see, one of them is Link riding Epona, which is actually two models in one I guess. ;o)
The other new model that Floriaski built, is Majora’s Mask itself: picture
It’s a small and relatively simple model, but a lot of people seem to like building it. Or maybe the voices they start hearing after they’ve stared into the mask’s eyes too long tell them they have to build it…?

23-05-2012: Floriaski really likes the Zelda series, so one day, she decided to built my young Link papercraft model: picture
It’s the first papercraft model she ever made, so she used the version with fold lines to make it a little easier for herself.
I think she did a great job, and maybe she will build more paper models now? ;o) But only if she can find the time of course, because she also likes to draw a lot!

16-05-2012: Michaela from Studio of M.M built my papercraft King of Red Lions boat from The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker and took him to the beach for some beautiful pictures! ;o)
It took her about 50 hours to complete (including the alternative sea base-stand made by Josh Darrah) using 65 lbs cardstock for strength, because it is quite a big model (the biggest one I made so far!)

11-05-2012: AseraRose hadn’t been able to do much papercrafting because of school and work, but now she finally finished a new one: Super Smash Bros. Melee Link!
I think it’s the most challenging model I made so far because it has so many tiny parts, but AseraRose found it “relatively easy” and only the fingers were “a bit finicky”! ;o)
I guess building all those other Zelda models gave her lots of experience to build this one: Aserarose says building the hands on her other Link made it a lot easier to make Melee Link’s hands too!
In fact, the most difficult parts she found were the guard and pommel on the Master Sword, but all in all, she enjoyed building Super smash Bros Melee Link and the base for him to stand on, and I think she can be really proud of the result!
13-07-2010: AseraRose sent me a couple of pictures of the papercraft Zelda models that she built.
She found the head and hair of wolf Link pretty difficult to make because the parts kept coming apart, but she solved that by taping the glueing tabs inside the body.
And to prevent Midna’s head falling off, she stuck a toothpick down her neck (it’s a good thing paper models feel no pain I guess… ;o)
But AseraRose built more models! From Twilight Princess, she also made Zora armor Link, and from Majora’s Mask, she built Fierce Deity Link.
And last but not least, she also made Link’s nemesis, Ganondorf, from Ocarina of Time. Here’s a picture of these three models together.
AseraRose is already thinking about building another model, so maybe we’ll see more of her builds in the future!

08-05-2012: This impressive wolf Link build was done by Tatsuya-Amaterasu (a.k.a. Paula-san).
All in all, it took her one month to build it, and the hardest part was the mouth, because of the tiny teeth and the tongue.
But she did it, and the end result looks great!

02-04-2012: Here’s the first papercraft Batman for the hall of fame!
As you can see, it’s the Animated Series version with the blue cape (I also made a New Batman Adventures version with a black cape).
Lionel’s papercraft Batman looks great, and he tells me he had a lot of fun building it, but he did assemble it in a slightly different order than I did in the instructions:
– Lionel found it easier to glue the torso to the legs *before* glueing on the head.
– And he also found it easier to glue the hands to the arms *before* glueing the arms to the torso.
I always base the part numbers and instructions on the way I assemble the paper models myself, but if you find it easier to do it a different way like Lionel, don’t hesitate to experiment a bit of course! ;o)
28-03-2010: Lionel from France sends me this great picture of Ganondorf: picture
But besides that one, he also built young Link and young princess Zelda!
He tells me he found them challenging to make, but that the end result was worth it (“awesome !!!”, in his own words ;o)

25-12-2011: You didn’t think Eldetabernas stopped building paper models, did you? ;o)
Last time he build a LEGO Pirate captain, this time it’s another sea captain, from The Legend of Zelda Phantom Hourglass: the fearless (or so he keeps telling others…) Captain Linebeck!
As captain of the S.S. Linebeck, he ferries Link from island to island over the Great Sea, and from the looks of it they’ll be visiting Madagascar soon! (watch out for penguins! ;o)
Great job building Linebeck!
12-05-2011: This time Eldetabernas built a paper model that’s not from a video game (well, if you don’t count the 1998 video game LEGO Racers… ;o)
It’s the coolest pirate LEGO ever made, captain Redbeard! Although he’s missing a leg, a hand and an eye, he’s still smiling: picture
Like all LEGO products, minifigs can be disassembled and assembled again in seperate parts, and Eldetabernas made a video showing that this papercraft version is no different: link ;o)
08-03-2011: With the problems with the mast and sail solved, Eldetabernas still wasn’t done with the King of Red Lions! ;o)
This time, he built the special sea base and the Chokipeta Wind Waker Link that Josh Darrah made (link).
I think they look very good, and fit perfectly with my King of Red Lions model! Here are two pictures: picture 1 | picture 2

25-02-2011: We already saw that Eldetabernas built the King of Red Lions again using stronger paper than the first time, but the sail was still causing the mast to bend because it was so heavy…
Now, he also solved that problem, by rebuilding the mast and sail and using two, long toothpicks and a Chinese chopstick to reinforce the parts from the inside!
So now, the mast is no longer bent: picture 1! He even made a schematic to show you how he did it: picture 2
He also didn’t glue on the backside of the sail this time to reduce the weight (because like he says: “it’s heavy and you can’t see that part!” ;o)
And as you can see it was well worth going back and re-building the mast and sail again: now the mast is perfectly straight!
Great work again!
16-02-2011: Eldetabernas sent me a message that together with two of his friends, he started a papercraft weblog of his own: Papercrafteros!
On their new weblog, they will showcase the paper models they built, so if his friends are just as big a papercraft enthustiacs as himself, I’m sure we will be seeing *a lot* of pictures there! ;o)
The blog is in Spanish, but you can use a tool to translate it or just look at the pictures! ;o)

He used regular printer paper, and except for the hands that required some extra patience, he didn’t find it very difficult and enjoyed making it. ;o)
