03-09-2008: Russ from Toronto, Canada, had built plastic models before, but never a paper one. And if you browse Russ’s favourites in his DeviantArt gallery, you can see why he picked my Kim Possible model to be his first. ;o)
Because he didn’t have any cardstock handy, he printed Kim on photo paper.
I don’t know if that’s where the shine comes from though, it may also be from the fact that he coated it with Microscale’s Liquid Decal Film to make it waterproof (although I still wouldn’t take it swimming of course!)
It was his first paper model, and it looks quite well I think. I’m also happy to hear that “there were no major dramas during construction.” ;o)
Russ wants to try again with thinner paper to make the seams less obvious so I wish him all the fun!
