    1. I really like the re-imagened Battlestar Galactica, so I’m definately planning on making more ships and maybe even some characters from the series!

I can’t promise you when or which ones I’ll do first, I’m afraid… As you can see, I have a lot of other ideas for paper models as well, and since papercraft is just a hobby of mine, I have to make a choice which one I’ll do next… ;o)

  1. building this hot muthafrakker at work on a serious grave shift. any plans for other pilot plaques? i wish i could have the correct fonts so that i can put my name there as well as make vipers flying from different battlestars. i’ll make mine with cockpit lights and landing gears.

    1. Hi! I’m glad you like my paper Viper! ;o) I have been playing with the idea to make a set of different tail numbers and callsigns, but I can’t promise you when I’ll get around to doing so…

I actually couldn’t find an exact match for the font they used either, so what I did was use one that looked a bit like it, and then edit it in Photoshop. It’s still not 100% accurate, but I’m pretty happy with the result! ;o)

I hope you can make the additions you want, your ideas sound great! Good luck and have fun!

  2. I love it, but always I’ve been looking for the Battlestar Galactica Ship… That would be crazy!!

    1. Of course I plan to make my own “Bucket” in the future, it might be a while before I finally get around to it; if you don’t want to wait that long, Jaybat made his own version here and there’s also an Battlestar Galactica from the original series here for the fans. ;o)

  3. I think I’m going to try to scale this up to 1:18 scale and make it out of styrene and add a cockpit big enough for GI Joe figures. What is the scale of it now?

    1. Give or take a few mm, I tried to go for a 1/32 scale: I got the original measurements as 8,4m (about 27,7 feet) lengthwise with a wingspan of 4,7m (about 15,5 feet) and for me, printed at 97%, it comes out at a length about 26cm and a wingspan of about 15cm.

You need to incorporate your printing size I think, but with a bit of math, that shouldn’t be too difficult, I’d love to see the results! ;o)

Good luck and have fun building!

    1. Haha I’d love to see that! I don’t really have any experience with RC though, so I can’t predict whether or not it will ehm… stay in one piece if you use the paper model as a bodyshell… ;o)
