January 4th 2025 I had a big stroke…
I lived, but have to go through a long recovery
to see what I can still do in the future…

Hopefully it will be a lot…! 👍 Always keep having fun papercrafting!

Which papercraft model would you like to build?

What’s papercraft?” you ask?

Well, that’s when (in this case ;o)  you download and print a page of 2D parts (preferably on some thicker paper) cut them out and fold them, and then glue them together to make your very own 3D paper model of your favourite game/anime/movie character/whatever you like!

There are a lot of websites where you can find free templates to download and build, including my own one of course which you’re visiting right now. ;o)

Currently, I have two-hundred-and-thirty-seven (237!) free papercraft models in stock for you! :o) Select one of the Download categories above or in the Site map to the right to find the model you wish to download (if it’s not in one of the obvious categories, try the miscellaneous section).

If you want to contact me, or send me a picture of your finished paper model for the hall of fame, you can send me an e-mail at ninjatoes@home.nl and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can. Have fun building!

    1. Usually, there are two kinds of “white lines”: first, the kind that you get to see if you don’t properly glue the parts over the glueing tabs. To get rid of those, you simply have to make sure that you do glue the parts together properly. ;o)

The second kind is because of the thickness of the paper when you’ve cut it, it is the “inside” of the paper. Many of my builds actually do have these white lines, because I don’t really mind them.

But sometimes I “edge-colour” them: after cutting out the part, you simply take a pencil or a marker in an appropriate colour and colour the edges of the paper: link

  1. Hey Ninjatoes u should check out my cousins zelda papercrafts… u cant biuld them cuz the links r broken but they r still cool

    His name is linkdude101

    1. I think I know his name from the Nintendo Papercraft forums! Too bad that the links are dead of course, I’m sure lots of people would love to build some more Zelda papercraft models…

    1. You mean Link from the Wind Waker? I plan on making lots more paper Zelda models, and there’s a big chance WW Link (and many more WW characters) will be among them (if you can’t wait that long, there’s a big “toon Link” that you may like on Papercraft Museum ;o)

Some of paper models are made by hand using paper and a pencil, but my computer made models were made by unfolding a digital 3D model into a 2D template using a tool called Pepakura Designer.

  2. hi ninjatoes
you know what would be awesome ? to add another category to your site from another game like okami or mario or something…well anyway i love your paper models there awesome

    1. Haha yeah, after all these years, I still haven’t made a paper Mario… ;o)

It’s not always clear (sometimes not even to myself… ;o) why some models go into the “misc” category instead of getting a category of their own in anticipation of more models, but Mario definately deserves to get a seperate category.

I don’t know if I will ever make an Okami model, but if I do, it will probably end up under the misc category… ;o)

    1. A “Magic armor Link” in the same scale as my Zora armor Link and Twilight Link is definately on my to do-list, but I don’t know when I will make it yet, sorry…

  3. please please please for the love of papercraft can you make all three of links transformations in mm

    1. It’s very hard for me to say what you might be doing wrong of course… ;o)

If you’re having trouble opening the files, it might be that you need a PDF reader (to open PDF files) or a file archiver (to extract the files inside ZIP-files).

Another option might be to try emptying your internet cache and deleting your temporary internet files, closing your browser and then trying to download the files again, to make sure that your browser isn’t just loading a (possibly corrupted) offline version of my website.

If you can download and open the files but are having trouble printing them, it might be something wrong with your printer, and that really might be anything I’m afraid, so you should try to contact the manufacturer and look online for solutions.

I hope you can get it to work!

  4. Have you scratchbuilt any of your models (other than the ones you drew by hand), or do you rip all of them?

    1. That depends on what you mean by “scratchbuilding”… ;o)

To me, scratchbuilding means that instead of downloading a ready-to-print papercraft template, you create the parts for your model as you go along, by cutting and shaping a piece of paper again and again until it fits.

So that means that even the final templates for my hand made models aren’t scratchbuilds, simply because they are downloadable templates. But the technique to create those templates, is pretty much scratchbuilding, yeah.

And of course using that same definition, any computer made model is never a scratchbuild papercraft model, because the parts are created to fit together properly before you ever get to the building part. ;o)
