January 4th 2025 I had a big stroke…
I lived, but have to go through a long recovery
to see what I can still do in the future…

Hopefully it will be a lot…! 👍 Always keep having fun papercrafting!

Which papercraft model would you like to build?

What’s papercraft?” you ask?

Well, that’s when (in this case ;o)  you download and print a page of 2D parts (preferably on some thicker paper) cut them out and fold them, and then glue them together to make your very own 3D paper model of your favourite game/anime/movie character/whatever you like!

There are a lot of websites where you can find free templates to download and build, including my own one of course which you’re visiting right now. ;o)

Currently, I have two-hundred-and-thirty-seven (237!) free papercraft models in stock for you! :o) Select one of the Download categories above or in the Site map to the right to find the model you wish to download (if it’s not in one of the obvious categories, try the miscellaneous section).

If you want to contact me, or send me a picture of your finished paper model for the hall of fame, you can send me an e-mail at ninjatoes@home.nl and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can. Have fun building!

  1. Now, I’ve made Fierce Deity Link, Ooc Ganon, Wolf Link, and Midna from your very fine and extensive collection. Over that time I’ve come to appreciate the brilliance in your patterns – the decisions you have to make in order for the pattern to be accessible and accurate, etc. However! I’m in the middle of the King of Red Lions model, and wondering how it is that -this- was the best way to make the front teeth. So I wondered if you’d share that bit of the process – it’s always fascinating to hear about those things from you!

    1. To be honest, I don’t know if it *is* the best way to make the front teeth; it’s just *a* way. ;o)

At the time, it was my first really more or less complex model, and I kept everything as close to the original game model as possible, because I liked that look so much!

But as a result, some parts ended up being pretty difficult to make (you’ll find out when you get to the eyebrows: http://home-and-garden.webshots.com/album/554265800XXjjxz?start=11 … ;o)

For the front teeth, I broke them down into basically two U-shapes, one upper and one lower section.

I didn’t give the lower section a “bottom”, because you can simply glue it to the lower jaw to hold its shape. But for upper section, I added a “top” so it would keep the right “U-shape”.

I often find it easier to build the pieces in seperate parts, so that’s why I made the “backside” of the teeth as two seperate strips. But a lot of that is just personal preference, and other people prefer to have as few parts as possible, or just want to keep everything that belongs together, connected together.

I hope that answers your question!

  2. Hey, ive been trying to download your latest zelda papercraft, twilight princess link, but when I click on any of the 3 links, it just goes to a blank page. What gives?

actually, its with ALL your papercrafts! WTF D=

    1. I’m afraid I don’t know what the problem might be; I didn’t change anything, so all the links should be working as usual as far as I know.

Try clearing your cache and temporary internet files and then close your browser window(s).

Restart your browser, and then try downloading the files again, and hopefully your problem should be solved.

    1. I’m afraid I don’t know when/if I will make a fire suit Link, I always only decide what model I will make next just before I start working on it. ;o)

right now, I’m trying to finish the “ninja-toes” model before the end of the year, and after that, I want to make a sci-fi model.

    1. The Statcounter at the bottom isn’t really accurate anymore since I changed to WordPress a little over a year ago, but I’ve had it for so long, that I just couldn’t let it go… ;o)

  3. Have you ever considered making another Wind Waker model? I’d love to build Link’s grandma or even the king of hyule.

    1. Yes I have thought about it actually, and I’m sure that I will come around to it some time. But right now, I want to make some non-Zelda models first.

The only King Daphnes Nohansen Hyrule papercraft model I know of right now, is the bust from Chokipeta from a few years back, but that one is not available as a download on the internet…

  4. Dude, I usually love your models and already have built three of them. I have waited a long time for someone to publish a good TP-Link model. Yours is fine, except for the face. It is just not… Link-like, I dunno. try to make the face a little more slim and look if you can get some of the original textures from the game – your ZaL for instance is just great, and he stands next to me watching while I type :)

    1. Unfortunately it’s impossible for me to create a model that looks perfect for everybody of course… ;o)

But the faces from ZaL and HoL are actually about the same width, at least in the 3D (I used the original head and ZaL’s head as a guide to make sure of that ;o)

Maybe it’s the hair or the ears that ZaL doesn’t have that makes it look like that one is thinner…? And of course the noses are completely different, which also makes it hard to compare them properly.

But at any rate, don’t forget that it’s just paper, and that you can shape it to make it look more like you want (Toni actually did a complete face transplant (ouch, that must have hurt; kinda reminded me of “Face/Off” ;o) for example)

You could try pressing the sides together if you want to make it look a bit slimmer, and maybe cut the slits on the back of the cap (where you need to put in the glueing tabs on the back of the head) a little closer together. I’m afraid I can’t make seperate heads for everybody, but maybe that way you can shape the head a little more to the way you like if you decide to build it.

    1. I always intended to have ZaL holding his sword in his hand, so I didn’t bother making him a sheath.

Maybe I will make one as a small side project for him some time, but not right now.

  5. When i´m ready with HoL (what will be really soon ;-P) i want to built howls moving castle. But not the flying one, i mean the “walking”-version.

It looks really nice and seems to be a very challenging model.

Any ideas where i can get this? Im just found the flying-version =/

    1. The flying version was a free version from the japanese Epson site a few years back, and although the original link is dead now (link), as such, many people have saved it and you can still find it relatively easily on the internet nowadays.

The more detailed, walking version, is actually from a papercraft book (ISBN: 978-4063646078, link) with the parts already printed, instead of a download on the internet (although most people are smart enough to scan the pages instead of destroying their precious and expensive book. ;o)
