January 4th 2025 I had a big stroke…
I lived, but have to go through a long recovery
to see what I can still do in the future…

Hopefully it will be a lot…! 👍 Always keep having fun papercrafting!

Which papercraft model would you like to build?

What’s papercraft?” you ask?

Well, that’s when (in this case ;o)  you download and print a page of 2D parts (preferably on some thicker paper) cut them out and fold them, and then glue them together to make your very own 3D paper model of your favourite game/anime/movie character/whatever you like!

There are a lot of websites where you can find free templates to download and build, including my own one of course which you’re visiting right now. ;o)

Currently, I have two-hundred-and-thirty-seven (237!) free papercraft models in stock for you! :o) Select one of the Download categories above or in the Site map to the right to find the model you wish to download (if it’s not in one of the obvious categories, try the miscellaneous section).

If you want to contact me, or send me a picture of your finished paper model for the hall of fame, you can send me an e-mail at ninjatoes@home.nl and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can. Have fun building!

  1. hi ninjatoes,
thx for the comments and all . i have fixed all the things but i cant seem to fix the elbow and the armpits (im a noob at 3d editing) do u hav any suggesionz to fix it.
i use 3ds max because i cant seem to understand metasequoia.

    1. I’m afraid the only real way to fix it is to remodel the parts in a 3D program so they don’t intersect anymore, because no matter how you unfold it in Pepakura Designer, once you try to build it in paper, it’s just physically impossible to push on piece of paper through the other without cutting it apart. ;o)

That’s also the only other solution I can think of: you could leave everything as it is, and then when you actually build it out of paper, you can try and fix the parts when you get to them, meaning you cut off the parts and create new glueing tabs where you need them.

Of course it’s easy to cut off *too* much, so if you try this method, only cut off the minimum you think you need to cut off at first! ;o)

    1. HoL stands for Hero outfit Link, like Aaron said. It’s the new model I’ve been working on, Link from the Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess in his hero clothes (link) rather than in the Zora Armor.

  2. To give more space for writing without having it really tight. This is a continuation of my comment below. I also have one Shoulder pad done.

    1. It depends a lot on how fast you can build, but judging from the test build, I hope to release HoL within the next two and a half weeks or so.

But even if your Samus isn’t finished yet, you don’t have to rush of course, HoL will wait for you. ;o)

      1. hey 17cheese14, I built Samus and their is a glitch in the leg so they both dont fit to the body. just giving you a warning because it kills the balance

  3. Hey I thought of some models that would be really good, Power Rangers.
More specifically the Zords from MMPR season 1 – 3 and Zeo.

      1. Oh, and a Dragon Dagger should be easy to design. If I knew the basics of design I’d do it myself :(

  4. after this Link model can you please make Kingdom Hearts Sephiroth or Sora
    Please!!!Please!!!Please!!!Please!!!Please!!!Please!!!Please!!!Please!!!Please!!!Please!!!Please!!!Please!!!Please!!!Please!!!Please!!!Please!!!Please!!!Please!!!Please!!!Please!!!Please!!!Please!!!Please!!!Please!!!Please!!!Please!!!Please!!!Please!!!Please!!!Please!!!Please!!!Please!!!Please!!!Please!!!Please!!!Please!!!

    1. Although there are many more Kingdom Hearts model that I’d really like to make (including Sora and Sephiroth) they take a long time to make and I really want to do a simpler one when Link is finally finished. So I’m afraid they will have to wait, sorry…

          1. I already have my hands full with Gollum999’s Samus and I might not be done with that for a long time. I don’t need to make a Metroid now. Plus, you can do a lot better than that. (Now for a random question: IF I have Samus’s body, arm cannon, and one leg made in this huge craft, could I finish before you release HoL?)

  5. C’mon im tryin & tryin but i cant even make a papercraft :( :( :(
    I need some HELP
Can some one give me a detailed tutorial on how to edit models
OR anyone who is good at editing a 3d model (& texturing) want to help me out?

    1. How to edit and texture a 3D model depends on the 3D program you’re using… If you search for tutorials for it in a search engine, I am sure you can find lots and lots tutorials and forums where people can help you!

And how to edit models in such a way that they will make the paper model more fun to build, that’s also very personal… Everybody has his or own ideas about that, and most of it comes from experience.

After building lots and lots of papercraft models made by other people, and making some yourself, you will start to see things that you would have done differently, so you can keep things like that in mind for when you make your next model! ;o)

But one thing you shouldn’t do, is look for “the best way to make a papercraft arm!” for example, because there is no best way!

Not only is each model different, but also every person who builds it will have their own opinion about it. ;o)

Don’t worry about messing up, it takes a lot of time to make a good papercraft model; and even then there will always be room for improvement, but that’s a good way to learn. ;o)

      Good luck and have fun!

  6. Hi Ninjatoes! I love your website and the models. Great work on all of them :)
Anyway, I have a problem when it comes to building certain models. (It’s not a problem with the models themselves). I have trouble building cones and spikes, like on Majora’s Mask. Is there an easy way to get them right? Because after building around 95 models I still have problems with them.

    Thanks,
    Llamadragon

    1. The spikes for Majora’s Mask and Cloud’s hair for example have sharp edges, so they need to be folded.

To be able to fold even small parts nice and crisp, you have to “score” the fold lines. That means taking a blunt tool and kinda “scratch” the fold lines (if you are using thick paper, you can even cut the thin upper layer of the paper; but not completely through of course!)

The harder/deeper you “scratch” the fold line, the sharper you can make the fold, even on small parts.

On smooth cones, I find it easiest to first bend them around a toothpick, to take the tension out of the paper (pre-shaping the part). I made a small video tutorial myself about this on Youtube and Yamaha also has a nice papercraft tutorial showing you the basic techniques such as scoring and pre-shaping (they simply call it curving) over here.

And of course, the most important thing is to take your time to get it to look as good as you want! ;o)

I hope this helps, have fun building!

    2. Just go to his blog (on the top right of this page) and scroll down to where their will be a section named Labels on the right. near the very bottom of all these their will be link that says tutorials. click on it, then scroll down untill you see a video called “making small paper cylinders”. or just go on his youtube account and look it up their. I hope that helped.

  8. hey ninjatoes im tryin to make papercrafts but i cant understand what to do in the editing stage?
can u plz tell me how to edit a model?? or maybe post a link

    1. In the editing stage, you try to unfold the model in your mind.

From experience (building a lot of papercraft models, and trying yourself) you will see parts that will probably be too difficult to make, or that can be made, but only with a lot of trouble…

In the editing stage, you have to change or even remake those parts in a way that you think they will be much more fun to build. ;o)
