January 4th 2025 I had a big stroke…
I lived, but have to go through a long recovery
to see what I can still do in the future…
Hopefully it will be a lot…! 👍 Always keep having fun papercrafting!
Which papercraft model would you like to build?
“What’s papercraft?” you ask?
Well, that’s when (in this case ;o) you download and print a page of 2D parts (preferably on some thicker paper) cut them out and fold them, and then glue them together to make your very own 3D paper model of your favourite game/anime/movie character/whatever you like!
There are a lot of websites where you can find free templates to download and build, including my own one of course which you’re visiting right now. ;o)
Currently, I have two-hundred-and-thirty-seven (237!) free papercraft models in stock for you! :o) Select one of the Download categories above or in the Site map to the right to find the model you wish to download (if it’s not in one of the obvious categories, try the miscellaneous section).
If you want to contact me, or send me a picture of your finished paper model for the hall of fame, you can send me an e-mail at ninjatoes@home.nl and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can. Have fun building!

because you made zora armour link and are making hero clothes link, are you going to make Magic armour link too?
btw great site :)
That’s very possible, but probably not right after Hero outfit Link… ;o)
I love it how in the Wolf Link model you make those lines on the outside edge which indicate where there’s a vertex. How do you add these, either in Pepakura or Photoshop?
That was just hard work adding them one by one in Photoshop, I’m afraid… ;o)
Bye eye? Hmm, that still leaves room for human error, but that’s ok. Thanks for the reply.
You can add them pretty accurately actually.
In Photoshop you can create seperate layers on top of eachother, so what I did was make the template with fold lines first, and then on a seperate layer on top of that, I added the “extension lines” for the no-lines version.
That way, you can just create a straight line on top of the fold lines from Pepakura Designer and delete the middle part (that is over the part) so you only end up with the extensions. That way, you can be sure they’re in the right place. ;o)
Then I copy/pasted the template without fold lines onto another layer (underneath the layer with the lines) and aligned it with the template with fold lines. That’s easy to do by setting the opacity of that layer to 50% or something like that, so it is kinda “see through” (don’t forget to set it back to 100% before saving though! ;o)
i have an interest of modeling 3d models from previous 3d games. What program do you use for editing the 3d model? Thanks
Mostly I use a program called Metasequoia, and sometimes SketchUp.
They’re both pretty simple to learn, since you really only need their basic features for papercraft modelling. ;o)
ok thnks!
I have a quick question. What kind of paper do you use in your work?
He uses 200 gsm cardstock, but what you use is all up to you. For example I use regular paper for papercrafting and my models turn out fine, but it’s really all about whatever you’re comfortable with.
Yep, like Truffles says, I always use 200 gsm (grams per square meter) paper, but no special photographic or glossy paper.
Any shop that sells regular printer paper should be able to order thicker paper for you if they don’t already carry it, but if you feel it’s too much of a hassle or will be too expensive, you could simply use a paper weight that *is* readily available to you of course.
Using thicker paper makes your model sturdier when it’s built, and personally I also find it easier to handle whilst building it, but it’s really just a personal preference, like all tools. ;o)
No problem ‘-‘/ and Thanks *–*
Ah, do you have the 3D model of the link (or/and Zelda?) from Super Smash Bros Meele? I tried Ripper with 3D ripper DX but my Computer is very old _._ And i cann’t run Dolphin ._.’
And thanks again *—* Your blog is amazing!
Because I finished Melee:Link so long ago already, I didn’t need the 3D model anymore, so I didn’t save it… And I didn’t extract princess Zelda’s model yet because I haven’t started on her yet. ;o)
But Dolphin+3D Ripper DX is how I got Link’s model. But you’re right, Dolphin runs very… very… slow… on my computer as well. ;o) There are several different versions of Dolphin, and with some versions and settings you have more luck on your computer than with others, and it also depends on the game of course.
Papercraft takes a lot of effort and patience, even when just trying to get the 3D models to get started… ;o)
Ah, the Princess Zelda of Ocarina of Time @_@ sorry for the double post.
I know that Icthus7 (the same person that made the Christmas Zelda you’re talking about) made an adult Zelda model some time ago, but I think it was only made for a friend of his…
I do want to make an adult Zelda myself (both from Ocarina of Time and Twilight Princess actually) but I can’t promise you when I will get around to it I’m afraid, because I simply don’t even know myself yet… ;o)
>_<' Do you have Adult Zelda? (like the Offial Artwork, nothing of christmas Zelda) I never found it ._./
thanks for the anwser truffles
i wanted to know cause the advance wars look so awsome
Thanks, I really like making them by hand, so I’m glad to hear people like ’em that way too. ;o)
Not a problem, just feel like contributing to the world of papercraft however I can, even if it just means getting an answer a day earlier than would be received otherwise.
hey i was just wondering, im curious if you paint your advance wars and other papercraft with markers, cause it looks like.
…just wondering thought :D
sorry for bad spelling
He does color in the advance wars models with markers, but most of his models (or at least the more recent ones) are generally models ripped from video games, therefore the textures are already there on the 3d model of the character and should be perfect most of the time.
Yep, my handmade models (all the Advance Wars units, most of my Star Trek models, and some of the models in the misc section) are painted by hand, because I really like how the “textures” match the handmade aspect that way.
For the videogame models, I usually start off with the original game models and textures, because that way, I can make them as close as possible to the way they are in the game.
hello i was wondering if you ever do requests? and how long does it take you to design a 3d model?
No sorry, I don’t really do requests, precisely because it takes me so long to make a 3D model ready for Pepakura (although it depends of course on how complex the model is).
Sometimes somebody will ask me to make “Link from Twilight Princess!” for example and then some time later I will start making one, but that’s always just because it was already on my “to do”-list and I got inspired by playing a lot of Zelda again. ;o)
