January 4th 2025 I had a big stroke…
I lived, but have to go through a long recovery
to see what I can still do in the future…

Hopefully it will be a lot…! 👍 Always keep having fun papercrafting!

Which papercraft model would you like to build?

What’s papercraft?” you ask?

Well, that’s when (in this case ;o)  you download and print a page of 2D parts (preferably on some thicker paper) cut them out and fold them, and then glue them together to make your very own 3D paper model of your favourite game/anime/movie character/whatever you like!

There are a lot of websites where you can find free templates to download and build, including my own one of course which you’re visiting right now. ;o)

Currently, I have two-hundred-and-thirty-seven (237!) free papercraft models in stock for you! :o) Select one of the Download categories above or in the Site map to the right to find the model you wish to download (if it’s not in one of the obvious categories, try the miscellaneous section).

If you want to contact me, or send me a picture of your finished paper model for the hall of fame, you can send me an e-mail at ninjatoes@home.nl and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can. Have fun building!

    1. I think I know what you mean know, I think it’s some sort of intercom/interface with JARVIS.

I don’t think I will make it very soon because I have lots of other models that I’d like to do, but it looks kinda like a simple box; if you can find a good front view somewhere, you could just add a strip along the sides to give it thickness and add a backside.

And if you cut out the inner part, you can add a thinner strip of paper along the inner part togive it a raised edge, and you can do the same with other elements.

It sounds difficult in words, but it is really very simple in practice; the possibilities are endless! ;o)

    1. Not that particular one, but similar tools, yes. It does look like fun, but you’re right, the current prices are a bit steep to just use it to get a starting model for papercraft…

I never used it yet, but it seems most of them have an option where you can set the “sensitivity” of the laserbeam; so that you can opt for a 3D mesh with tens of thousands scan points (which will make the vertices for the polygons) or just a couple of thousand.

I think a lot of “perfectly” smooth surfaces will have lots of dimples if you scan it at the highest settings; the power/curse of perfection! ;o)

  1. 1. Do you cut out all the pieces of a model before building or do you cut out a piece, glue it on, and move on?
    2. What do you do as you build? Listen to music? Watch a movie?

    1. 1. Sometimes I cut a couple of parts out at once (for example I cut out all the parts for one leg of my new T-Rex models at once when I built them).
But usually I only cut out one part at a time, glue it to the model, and then move to the next one (especially if there are a lot of parts, or when they look very similar, so I don’t have to write down the numbers on the back to prevent me from mixing them up… ;o)
But I never cut out *all* the parts of a model, because I usually don’t build all the parts in one session anyway. ;o)

      2. I usually have the TV on when I’m building a model. Usually cartoons or comedy. ;o)

  2. i’v been out of the loop for a while and was wondering if youv started working on somtin sence you finished zora Link?

    1. Yep, on my weblog you can keep up to date about any new projects I’m working on. You can also check my “master model list” to see all the models I made in chronological order.

Since ZaL, I’ve made the Orange Star Missiles from Advance Wars, the Extreme Depth Suit from Tomb Raider Chronicles, Homer Simpson from well… the Simpsons, and just yesterday I finished the T-Rexes from Tomb Raider 1-3. ;o)

  3. ninjatoes do you know the iron man movie and in that movie there is a device on the wall it is blue it is jarvis and if you could make that quick and easy module i hav always wanted to have it can you put it on your list hopefully on top?

    1. You mean “Just A Rather Very Intelligent System”, Tony Stark’s artificial intelligence computer? ;o)

I saw the movie, but the “blue device on the wall”, isn’t that just a flatscreen? I can’t really remember what you’re describing exactly I’m afraid…

  4. hey ninjatoes it would be cool if you made the shadow beast from twilight princess

p.s. i am making a shadow beast quadsuit for myself and i wanted to ask if you should know what material i should use for the skin

    1. I just thought the I should inform you that Brandon (at Nintendo Papercraft) is making the TP Shadow Beast right now

      1. Yes, I saw that thread as well. He wasn’t finished yet, but when he is, I’m sure it will go on the Nintendo Papercraft website.

I do plan to make some more enemies instead of heroes all the time, but if and when I will make a Shadow Beast of my own, I don’t know yet…

And as for the best material for a “Shadow Beast quadsuit”; I would reckon just some black, stretchy fabric, but I am by no means a Shadow Beast quadsuit expert of course! ;o)

        1. I really enjoyed building your FFX papercrafts, maybe you can make one for Seymour or Sephiroth which I imagine would be really cool, maybe.

  5. hey, ninjatoes, do know how to edit models in google sketchup? I made this cool TP zelda model but it’s really complex and I want to edit it without messing it up. And edit her pose a little bit. Or if it’s possible I could change in to a format you can use in Metaseqoia (if that’s how you spell it) and e-mail it to you. You can’t ruin it as badly as I could! :)

    1. Haha I wouldn’t be so sure of that… ;o)

But in any case, I’m afraid with not as much time as it is as I’d like to spend on making my own models, I hope you can understand I don’t really want to spend a lot of time working on other people’s models as well, sorry…

SketchUp is a pretty “simple” program, so any editing you want to do there to the pose, will probably have to be done by rotating and positioning the bodyparts one by one (but that’s not really any different in Metasequoia ;o)

There are more “advanced” 3D applications that let you apply “bones” or a “skeleton” to the model so you could pose the model just by adjusting the “skeleton” but I’m not sure if that’s any easier if you don’t have experience with it…

I’m not sure what would be easier for you, but if you’re afraid of messing up the model, make sure to make regular backup copies of your work! ;o)

    1. For PS1 and PS2 games, the easiest way is when a big fan of the game makes a model viewer and/or extractor. There are a lot of games with fans that know a lot of stuff about programming, but there’s not a model viewer/extractor for every game of course…

  6. Ninjatoes, have you ever heard of a game called Radiata Stories? It on PS2 and is alot like Final Fantasy. I was thinking that you might be able to make some models of the main characters one of these days.

      1. I don’t mean to be a bother, but you wouldn’t happen to know of a way I can get the models, do you? I know there’s a papercrafter in my town that might do them if I can get him the models

        1. No, sorry; for a PS2 game, I would go searching around the internet for a game specific model viewer or extraction tool, but because I’m working on other models right now, I haven’t done that yet. ;o)
