January 4th 2025 I had a big stroke…
I lived, but have to go through a long recovery
to see what I can still do in the future…

Hopefully it will be a lot…! 👍 Always keep having fun papercrafting!

Which papercraft model would you like to build?

What’s papercraft?” you ask?

Well, that’s when (in this case ;o)  you download and print a page of 2D parts (preferably on some thicker paper) cut them out and fold them, and then glue them together to make your very own 3D paper model of your favourite game/anime/movie character/whatever you like!

There are a lot of websites where you can find free templates to download and build, including my own one of course which you’re visiting right now. ;o)

Currently, I have two-hundred-and-thirty-seven (237!) free papercraft models in stock for you! :o) Select one of the Download categories above or in the Site map to the right to find the model you wish to download (if it’s not in one of the obvious categories, try the miscellaneous section).

If you want to contact me, or send me a picture of your finished paper model for the hall of fame, you can send me an e-mail at ninjatoes@home.nl and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can. Have fun building!

  1. hey, your paper models r amazing! i know its a big ask, but maybe sometime you could make a batman papercraft? my best friend is obsessed and i want to give her a good present for her birthday. if by any chance you can, that would be the best!

    1. Thanks, I’m glad you like my paper work! ;o)

Batman is definately on my to do-list, but with all my other ideas as well, I can’t promise you when I will make it…

I know MarianoDG already made a papercraft Batman before (link)

Kezn Also made a detailed Batman model (link; it’s untextured, unfortunately)

And of course, there are Batman Cubees, Hamheadz, other papertoys and more; mostly pretty simple, but I hope you can find something you like, have fun building!

  2. dood, do you know of any active papercraft communities/discussion board-type groups besides nice paper toys and /PO/ ? those ones are nice but PO can get a little hostile, and whenever I search I always end up just finding old lady scrapbooking communities.

    1. Well, Zealot has an active Card Models forum (the old Cardmodels.net)

Another one is the Google PapermodelsII Group (from the old Smartgroups)

Papermodelers.com is a group kinda like Zealot.

Nintendopapercraft.com has their own forum, and so does Cut, Score, Fold and Glue.

There are many more of course, non-English too, but maybe you have to search for “paper modeling” or “card modeling” instead of “papercraft” to avoid all you’re finding will be scrapbooking communities?

      Good luck and have fun!

  3. Hello Ninjatoe,

Are there any new BSG models in the works?
I would really like to see the Raptor, Viper MK-VII, and Heavy Rader.

    Kind regards,

    Christopher

    1. I am already planning on making several other Battlestar Galactica models (ships and maybe even a few characters), but I’m not working on any of them right now, though…

Right now, I’m finishing up my LEGO Pirate minifig (link), after that I really need to finish the Advance Wars Orange Star Fighter plane that I already built (link), and after that I’m already planning on making a new Final Fantasy model (which is pretty much the furthest I’ve ever planned ahead my papercraft projects, because I have so many ideas I’d like to do some time… ;o)

  4. This might not be your forte, but its worth a shot. For a project I need to make a papercraft of the white house, but after finishing it’s too small. Do you know how I could blow up the pieces and end up with a bigger final product?

    Thanks in advance.

    1. An easy solution would be to go to a copy/printshop and have them print/plot the model on larger sheets, scaled to fit the page (make sure it won’t get distorted, though or the parts won’t fit properly anymore: same scale in X and Y direction! ;o)

Scaling it before printing it kinda depends on the templates you got: templates for paper models are usually just image files, so you can open them in an image editor and scale them, like you would any other image.

If it’s a PDF file, you can open it as an image in Photoshop or Gimp and scale it.

If it’s a Pepakura *.pdo file, and it’s not locked by the creator, you can open it in Pepakura Designer and change the scale under the 2D Menu and then print it.

If it’s locked by the creator, you could “print” it to a PDF file first, and then open that in Photoshop or Gimp to enlarge it.

But most paper models will be raster images, which means the bigger you scale them, the more pixelated the results will be…

If it’s a vector file, you’re in luck, because you can scale it as big as you can without loss of quality! ;o)

If the walls are just white (without any real textures) you could trace the parts with vector lines in Photoshop, or Gimp or Inkscape for instance, but any textures are usually still simple raster images (even in Pepakura Designer) which are a lot harder to re-create in vectors…

You could also enlarge it first, and then trace the pixelated lines and such in an image editor, to get crisper lines again. You can also try to re-create the textures for a better effectm if they got very pixelated as well.

So depending on the type of template you have, there are a lot of different options, some fast and easy, and others more time-consuming and difficult, depending on the quality you want.

    1. As you know I’m a big Zelda fan, so it’s a fun idea to make a SSB:M young Link!

Right now I’m working on a paper LEGO minifig pirate, and I still need to make the instructions for my Advance Wars Orange Star Fighter; after that, I’ve already decided to make a new Final Fantasy model, and after that, I will still have tons of projects to choose from that I’ve been wanting to do for years already…! ;o)

    1. Of course I like, you did a great job building both of them I think!

Did you use the version that Haywan Chiu from the PaperCraft Museum scaled up?

Because it looks a lot bigger than my own build! ;o)

Thank you for the pictures, I hope you had fun building it!

    2. Yes i did, found that model on accident while trying to find adulkt link from the N64 version.

Thing is his left boot is about a half inch bigger than his right o.O…weird huh?

      1. I actually do want to make a new, seperate model N64 adult Link some time too (I already made one riding Epona, but I want to make a free-standing one too ;o) but it might be a while before I get around to it.

If you haven’t already found it , Icthus7 made an Ocarina of Time adult Link earlier (link) but unfortunately, the download links seem to be dead…

Maybe you can ask him about it, on Nintendo Papercraft you can only find the green version (link).

I think the difference in shoe-size of SSB:M Link is because his right foot is flat, while with his left foot he is standing on his toes.

It looks pretty natural in the small version, but if you scale it up, the differences get bigger too of course, so maybe it’s more noticable in the big version (I never built the scaled up version myself though, so I can’t really say…)

Btw, I added your pictures to the hall of fame: link

I hope you like it, have fun building!

        1. Oh ok…i just figured it was a little unnatural to have so much of a dfference….but to answer your question…. you can’t tell the foot is bigger…it’s just when i first compared that just by looking it just seemed so much more off you know?

Thing is, i’m not very good on making my papercraft models stand on themselves :( Not much luck with that…. a friend of mine suggested to put some type of sand so it has weight inorder to stay put…. but haven’t went with that idea so far…so my adult link does have to lean a little back so he won’t fall…but that just means i need to practice more :D…

Also i didn’t know about the adult link off of N64…. kinda sucks how only green is available.,..but then again nothing better than an original green link.! As for the pone you made riding epona, i also have made that model and around here where i live….people like the most since they themselves use horses to get around or help them with work XD…. But i’m always keeping an eye out on another wonderful model you come out with and see what new challenges you come up with. I myself have no time in order to actually make my own models but thanks again on all of your commenting and placing my model in the hallf of fame!

  5. Dear Sir/Madam,

I saw a video on papercraft. I’m very interested in making Super Mushroom. Kindly noted, may you direct me where I can find it.

    Thank you very much,

    Jimmy

    1. You mean a Mario Super Mushroom? There are several versions, for instance this one made by JAXMP, and these which also include other Mario ‘shrooms.

      Have fun building!

(oh, and you don’t have to call me sir… ;o)

    1. Thanks, I’m glad you like my Oogie Boogie paper model! ;o)

I’m both a big Tim Burton and Kingdom Hearts fan, so it’s safe to assume that I’ll make more Kingdom Hearts / Nightmare Before Christmas in the future, but I can’t promise you when / which ones right now…

I do know of a Sally model that’s more detailed than the one you found; I’m afraid I don’t know who made it :o( but here are the files: link

Chamoo232 also made several papercraft Nightmare before Christmas models (the Mayor, Jack Skellington and Zero the ghost dog) that you might like: Chamoo232’s papercraft archive

      Have fun building!

  6. hi ninjatoes do you think that after captain knoest and the orange star fighter do you think you can start on the yellow comet b copter please and sankies

    1. My Advance Wars series is an ongoing project, and eventually, I want to make all the units from Advance Wars, Black Hole Rising and Dual Strike!

So the Yellow Comet B-Copter is definately on my to do-list, but I have so many other ideas as well, that I can’t promise you when I’ll finally get around to it yet…

I’m already thinking about a new Final Fantasy model, so that will be the next model after Kapitein Knoest and the OS Fighter, though…
